One I heard the other day was that the vaccine was developed by using aborted babies stem cells.. I know that my blood is being used in development of finding, developing vaccines.

"Comirnaty works by preparing the body to defend itself against COVID-19. It contains a molecule called messenger RNA (mRNA) which has instructions for making the spike protein. This is a protein on the surface of the SARS-CoV-2 virus which the virus needs to enter the body’s cells.

When a person is given the vaccine, some of their cells will read the mRNA instructions and temporarily produce the spike protein. The person’s immune system will then recognise this protein as foreign and produce antibodies and activate T cells (white blood cells) to attack it.

If, later on, the person comes into contact with SARS-CoV-2 virus, their immune system will recognise it and be ready to defend the body against it.

The mRNA from the vaccine does not stay in the body but is broken down shortly after vaccination."

I'm curious to know in what way you think encouraging the promotion of rumours is helpful.

The one obvious reason I can think of is it's easier to squash them more thoroughly with more people if you can identify them first.

It is, I think, a risky strategy. I doubt its efficacy unless the rumour is published in concert with an appropriate refutation, or confirmation, or clarification. Otherwise we risk the usual feeding frennzy of flawed and fake news.

We've already got the feeding frenzy, we've had it for months (5G towers causing covid anyone? The number of 5G towers that got trashed by credulous imbeciles of the tinfoil hatted morons was in three figures in the UK, not to mention the harassment of the poor blighters who were trying to maintain/repair them).
