  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Um...yeah..triple reps ought to do it.:sorry: ;) ^_^ :p Just got back from cleaning a couple of houses. One was just dusting and vacuuming so that didn't take me long. Had to hurry though cause school was half a day today. She got out at 11:40. I got to the bus stop at 11:52 with about 3 minutes to spare. :D

You're probably the best one to ask for vacuum cleaner recommendations. I agree with JustOneWay on the price of those dysons. My son (who has a cleaning and carpet restoration business) vows the Dyson is not as good as $150 Eureka upright that he got at Sam's years ago, but he needed the durability of the Dyson for his business.

I've been cracking up reading this thread!!! :pink: I decided to just eat at home tonight JustOneWay even though I'm certain your leftovers would be better than whatever concoction I brew for tonight. :)

I appreciate all the prayers and I'm sure hubby and I will love his retirement years once we figure out a good hobby for him. :) I've suggested he (a) learn to cook (b) do all the laundry and (c) run the vacuum. He thinks that while those things are probably quite worthwhile, he enjoys the current way they're done. :) I love him anyway. :D:D

I'll have some reps in about an hour and a half. Meanwhile I think I'll try to bake a white cake with raspberry filling and white chocolate icing. Won't that be just perfect for Valentine's Day??

Well I use a Bissell and it works great for me. I like a vacuum cleaner that has attachments. The lady I clean for uses only Bissell vacuums. I guess for me, I don't see the since in spending a LOT of money on a vacuum cleaner that you can get something a little cheaper that does the same thing. :sorry:

That cake sounds heavenly. :swoon: :yum: What time should we be over ?

I got a cheap Hoover 6 mos. ago & it's fantastic. (bagless). We just didn't have the $$ to get an xpensive one.
So far, it's doing well. =)

I haven't had much luck with bagless vacuum cleaners. I'd rather take the bag out and throw it away then to have to clean out the container that holds what you suck up. Glad it's working for you though. Hoover vacuum cleaners are supposed to be good too. :D

^^ I had the same experience with the bagless models. One year FOR CHRISTMAS my husband (gotta love him) bought me a Hoover that even has a dirt indicator to tell you if its finished cleaning the area. Its nice, but wayyyy too heavy now that I have neuropathy in my hands.

oh I hear you on the cannister problem. I HATE that.
Sometimes I've sworn that our pets were in that thing! lol

Just that buying bags continually gets old & xpensive after awhile. Plus I've had it where I ran out of bags & couldn't vacuum till I ran to the store.
 :swoon:

 thinks I will tell my husband that I can't vacuum anymore just in case this might happen to me

:sorry:

Neuropathy is when the nerves become painful and inflamed and there is no known reason. Most of the time it occurs when people are diabetic, but I don't have diabetes. Mine is called peripheral neuropathy because it is just in my hands. It causes a burning pain and several of the ends of my fingers are numb. It flares up when I overuse my hands doing heavy things and I often cut my fingers and don't know it until I see them bleeding. I've had it for about 10 years, so it doesn't bother me as much as it did when it first began. I've gotten so accustomed to it. I wear gloves a lot to protect them.
