Prayer request
As some of you know, my job is being phased out and the work is moving to Ohio. I haven't been given my notice yet, but have started to test the waters on a job search. (I have been at the same company for 30 years. Many different positions.)
At 6pm tonight I have my second phone interview for a position that I am interested in. If all goes well, I will have the interview at the office the week after.
If you think about it, could you keep me in prayer that if this is the right position for me that all will go well.
Still working on the interview outfit. Got the suit, still need the shoes and bag.
and lots of
coming your way. My husband has given his retirement notice and will be working his last day on 2/29. As much as we look forward to it, we're both a little frightened since he's been with his company more than 30 years and change of ANY kind is tough. I reallllllly wish you well and will pray, pray, pray.
just a lack of motivation. I moved out of the cooking field a few years ago because the jobs usually require nights/weekends and holiday work and it was difficult schedule with children to raise. I think I will just grill some steaks tonight....(apologies to the vegetarians I just made ill)

I went with an apprenticeship through a world class resort chain, my wife went to the CIA. I was the captain of a team which participated in a blind box competition (much like iron chef) and have had a few different Master chefs judge my food. My graduation test was judged by a master chef. It is a demanding profession which requires hard work for low pay (for the most part) I still have a few friends who teach at the New England culinary school.WOW -- I took some classes at the Santa Fe school of cooking and LOVED IT. I wish I'd gone to culinary school too. I LOVE to cook, but the humdrum every day stuff that comes along with cooking 3 meals a day gets very, very dreary. We eat almost NO red meat, but enjoy fish, chicken and occasionally turkey. Since its been months and months with no red meat, I'm wondering, what time is dinner?

I hope you guys adjust well to the change. I tend to think us women generally aren't as good with change as men can be.
Actually cooking is an art where you are limited only by your imagination (mostly) Whereas baking IS a science. I am an analytical person, so the art of cooking was my challenge.WOW -- kudos (and reps) to you!!!! I love to watch Iron Chef whenever I do any tv watching and the food network is another favorite (when I'm not watching news). My husband has worked in the science field for many years and he's very amused when I tell him that cooking well is a science. Its not easy to know what brings out the best in foods and how to enhance flavors, etc. I'm definitely NO chef, but we hate to eat out because the food at home is always so much better (andddddd CHEAPER).The cook gets a little cranky every now and then though.

The wife and my boy are at church tonight, so it is leftover tortilla soup or turkey noodle. It will take you about 38 driving hours to get here....I suggest a plane rideP. S. You didn't tell me what time to show up for dinner. I'm warming up the car right now.![]()

Dinner is at 6:00pmAhemmmmm, I'm still waiting for JustOneWay to tell me what time dinner's going to be ready. {{impatiently taps foot, feels tummy rumbling . . . }}} I'm just kidding JOW, but steaks on the grill sounds pretty good even though we rarely eat red meat.![]()
