  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Neuropathy is when the nerves become painful and inflamed and there is no known reason. Most of the time it occurs when people are diabetic, but I don't have diabetes. Mine is called peripheral neuropathy because it is just in my hands. It causes a burning pain and several of the ends of my fingers are numb. It flares up when I overuse my hands doing heavy things and I often cut my fingers and don't know it until I see them bleeding. I've had it for about 10 years, so it doesn't bother me as much as it did when it first began. I've gotten so accustomed to it. I wear gloves a lot to protect them.

 WOW! I'm sorry to hear you have that Valentine. I suppose it could be worse. Praying for you. :prayer:

Da cake is in da oven. I fired up my laptop only to discover that since its been disconnected for several days it had 8 milllion updates to do. I HATE IT when that happens.
My hands used to bother me a lot especially since I had to wear clunky metal braces all of the time, but after a couple/years the disease did not spread past my hands, so I was able to stop wearing the braces unless they hurt a lot (which is very rare anymore). I take B-12 shots every week and try to just not overwork them lifting heavy things. I learned that glass dishes are very breakable and broke more dishes and glasses in the first year than I had in my entire life before. :) I don't sweat it anymore -- I just keep a broom and dustpan handy. :)

Ladies, your husbands are lucky. I do most of the housework, dusting and vacuuming. I actually bring home the bacon and fry it up in a pan ^_^

I was fixing my former chef's computer a couple weeks ago and I refused any cash payment so he paid me in bacon ;) 10 lbs of it.

I enjoy cleaning. My wife does more family organizing, laundry and the kids needs.

I'm praying for you! I have a connective tissue disease and I have all sorts of odd aches, pains, numbness, etc.

Just got home from WallyWorld where the Dyson was $378!!! My husband will never go for it at that price.

If I don't feel like cleaning, I don't need an excuse, I'll just flat out tell him I'm NOT cleaning. ^_^ I get tired of cleaning it all the time by myself. I'm going to start sending him a bill.

I'm luckey I guess.

1) My wife hates it when I clean (totally different ways of cleaning between me & her :) )
2) She actually enjoys cleaning  :D

I would love to have some help. I can count on one hand how many times he's cleaned the bathroom in any capacity after 18 years of marriage. I could still count if I only had 3 fingers on that one hand. :sorry: :sigh:

If I was a SAHM I could understand all the housework being left to me. But I work and it's getting pretty old to have to not only work but come home to cook and clean. :( I suppose I should be lucky he did any of the dishes when I was sick last week. :|

I wish that was genetic... and that I had those genes.

I always wonder about that - what males think? I stay at home, so I never expect my husband to come home and do housework & stuff that I can do here.
But ladies who work need HELP with that - & esp. when they have kids!

Maybe it's just a role model they have in their minds that it's "our job"?? I dunno. Sorry to hear that Two.
Make a little note of that in his Valentines Card.
^_^ :p

I don't like Valentine's Day. I don't want anything for that day and he knows that. He honors my wishes about it for the most part. It's a waste of money IMHO. :sorry:
