I don't see where the confusion exists. When Christ appears he will raise the dead and judgment will take place. We will appear with him and judge the nations. Not really sure why this is confusing for you. That verse says nothing of a rapture.

It suggests that we have already died and been raised

Are you suggesting that there won't be a physical resurrection on the last day?

I'm not suggesting anything. I'm merely pointing out that Colossians 3 says we are already raised. Lets compare that scripture to 1 Corinthians 15:44.

1 Corinthians 15:44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Sure , like other newborns I was given my SSN after I was born. Though I think it was an application thing way back then and now automatically assigned like today.
That meant my/our parents complied with the law.
And it is a part of being able to buy or sell. We can't legally obtain employment without a SSN so as to later obtain our W-2. We can't open a bank account or get credit cards without one.

Yes, spiritually we have been raised but the physical resurrection occurs on the last day.

The last day is the final day of this age.

John 6:39
John 6:40
John 6:44
John 6:54
John 11:24
John 12:48

Perhaps we are in that day already. I don't really know, but the language of Colossians 3 is intriguing.

Colossians 3:1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

1 Corinthians 15:44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

2 Corinthians 6:2 For He says:
“In an acceptable time I have heard you,
And in the day of salvation I have helped you.”[a]
Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

Are we sure?

No. The last day is a universal resurrection and judgment. Just as Jesus describes in Matthew 25:31-46.

Two instances surface. The Post Tribbers say you need to be ready to be tested thus you should face the truth, my reply is if you aren't always ready to die for our Lord something is wrong with your relationship with Jesus.

The Pre-Tribbers would offer this (I am in this crowd) if there is one person who tarries, or thousands, or millions, it matters not, but if there is one person who puts off his decision to come to the Lord because someone told him, "Hey, you will have to go through the Tribulation, no matter what", and then they decide, well, since I have to go through the tribulation no matter what, I might as well live it up a while longer, and this person doesn't get saved and misses the Rapture, he will have to go through great troubles, probably will be faced with a life and death situation, all because he was misled.

So to me it matters, because God wants us to know the truth, so we can preach the truth. JMHO.

Taking the mark is personal decision that puts a person in the global marketplace and in the path of God's wrath (Revelation 14:9-11). If it will be given to newborns, that's not a choice. God presents it as a choice to reject if we want to live spiritually. Surely you aren't saying you and I have had the mark of the beast since we were babies. The SSN is required for a normal job today but the mark will be required for a normal job (or buying and selling at a store) eventually. The penalty for refusal will be death if/when they catch the person. Christians are going to need great strength to put away their jobs, possessions, families, and their own lives when they are demanded of them. With a death penalty for refusal, each person has his own choice. Take the mark and save your physical life, or reject the mark and most likely be executed (though the Scripture is clear that some elect will survive the Tribulation)... But those who endure (in the faith) to the end will be saved.
