Rant thread and/or padded cell

My rant: I'm so thankful you can pick your spouse. I don't know what I would do without him. Now, why can't you pick your blood relatives too??!!

Maybe it's because then we wouldn't be challenged in our spiritual walk!




Seriously, our friends and spouses we love because we could choose them. Our families we can't choose, so we have to deal with them on a different level -- oftentimes it includes prayer and support.

Why does my mother send over sweet stuff to eat when she knows that I don't eat it?? Does she want me to look like a blimp?? So when she calls, I just don't show up to get the stuff!! Hmpf...that'll show her.

Doesn't it just bug you when you can feel you did something wrong but don't know what it was to upset someone? I hate walking on eggshells.

Eggshells are rough on bare feet but crunch delisciously under boots.

Don't you just hate it when people get what your talking about, but miss the point? I have answered peoples questions to the best of my ability only to have it completely misunderstood .... and I'm supposed to be GOOD at communication ... bleah!
