Rant thread and/or padded cell

Why do they make it so hard to remove a toy from a package? Do they have to wire it down so that it takes 20 minutes to remove one piece of it?

Oh man,we had to deal with this at Christmas. One package opened by four little nephews had four little toys all tightly bound against the cardboard-it took so long to undo! They weren't the only toys that had that too. I feel bad for those with nasty arthritis,etc. who have to deal with that!

Well I realize most of it is for anti-theft. But geesh, it is ridiculous to have to take 25 minutes to get a pony out of it's packaging.

/on rant/ I dunno about you guys, but do you notice a trend with pedrestrians just walking casually around the parking lot, standing in spaces, or walking in spaces when you're trying to park into it? I just don't get it. You just never know if a car is going to pull into a space. The stupidity just boggles my mind. /off rant/

Why is it that people cannot accept the truth when it's staring them right in the face?

When we are taught to turn the other cheek, let bygones be bygones?

Why is it so hard for people to forgive one another and get on with it whether it was their fault or not. To extend the hand of grace and mercy to someone else?

There is no love in this world, no forgiveness and yet these same people are the ones that are sitting around complaining about this sad fact.

*rant on* Why is it that people spend so much energy trying to LOOK as though they're getting work done, instead of just ... getting the work done? And why does laziness bug me so much??? *rant off*

Funny story, maybe I shouldn't post it here but here goes. I had a supervisor once when I was working the the Comm. Center that wore hearing aids in both ears. My friend and I used to talk alot when we were working. We got the work done but we talked basically all the time. Well, our supervisor would turn his hearing aids down so he didn't have to listen to us. We'd ask him a question and he'd ignore us So we'd have to yell...JIM, TURN YOUR HEARING AIDS UP!! We still get a laugh when we remember this.

I used to joke that if anyone needs to vent, I tell them to come to ME first, where I can just turn off my hearing aids, and they can vent to their heart's content, while watching their lips flap in the air in frustration.

I was in the bank today, standing in line for what seemed a half hour. Any some woman in the line ahead of me was having a phone conversation and airing her dirty laundry.
Don't get me wrong, I like cell phones. But there comes a fine line of ethics that go along with them. Not everyone is concerned about your problems, therefore be mindful of those around you and what you are saying.

I wouldn't want MY conversation to come back to bite me on my butt later down the road! Amazing how people are so oblivious and unconcerned about their private lives being aired out while on their cell phones. Crazy!

I have a friend that at every point he talks about possible bad things that could happen to him, around him, etc. I tell him if he speaks it, it could happen. I don't think we should speak of possible bad...it gives the devil a toe hold.

oh, I've been in that situation just recently.
