Rant thread and/or padded cell

Hey everyone. Today I lost it at work. I didn't yell at anyone specifically, I just put my foot down on an issue - VERY LOUDLY. I hate losing my cool, as it's probably a bad witness. I just feel so ... invisible at work sometimes. You know, I'm "the responsible one" that does the work while others sit around talking about non-work stuff.

I'm trying to work as for the Lord. But I swear, SOME days ... !!

Ah well ... rant, rant, rant ...

How does one set goals of where to be in 10 years when one has been doing pretty much the same thing over and over again for the last 10 years, and has no appararent clue what he really wants?

That's a good question D, I take it you are asking this about someone else.

May I suggest that you get together with this person and ina loving way suggest that the two of you pray about something that is on 'Your Heart".

I would make it a point of putting it in such a way as to resemble MY problem. Most people are willing to help others with their problems. SO I would start from a position that makes it hard for them to become defensive.

Next I would suggest seeing if they would be willing to do some kind of counceling. It wouldn't have to be more then speaking to your associate pastor about whats troubeling you [note I made it your problem NOT theirs ]

Finally you could try and see what their desires and dreams are, then you might suggest EASY ways to start them into motion in the desired direction.

Father I ask that you would come along side of my sister as she interceeds in the life of this one who matters a great deal to her. Give her the proper opportunaty, and place the right words in her mouth so that she may help this man to not only see her desire, but also his own, and mostly make him receptive to Your desire for his life.
I ask for peace and under standing to be rained down upon these people as well as a reflection of Your compassion.
We lift this up in the name of Your Glorious Son Jesus.

I'm begining to wonder what ever happened to taking a nice lady out on Valentines day. seems as if a lot of ladies stayed home and played with the puter instead.

Valentines Day, I was at work, selling Valentines, candy and flowers to all the people taking them to their Valentines. One of my checkers gave me some flowers and a stuffed dog, though.
