I've known many different Christians that have seen angels just like this describes, in recent times. Not just one, but a;group of Christians. You can't have a shared delusion.
Yes you can. It is called either shared psychotic disorder (DSM-IV) (297.3) or induced delusional disorder (F.24) in the ICD-10

Sometimes it is called Follie a deiux. Folie Ã[bless and do not curse] deux - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Strange reaction to the url but the link seems to work.

Why would anything stop someone from believing the bible??

Given that nobody actually believes "the Bible" -- but rather, their own (often self-serving) interpretation of it, the real question should be:

Why is everything stopping people from believing the Bible?

Because there are so many other good myths out there. How does one even decide?

I like the Greek gods personally. They were very realistic in how an immortal being would view humans and other things which have limited life spans. Their personalities are believable.

Foolishness. The areas of agreement are overwhelming.

Your problem seems to be with what is clearly related in the bible. We all can chose what to believe, but we will belief something. We stand responsible for what we chose to believe.

And overwhelmingly self-serving. Convenient, isn't it?

And we all do choose -- many choose what benefits them the most... as I said.

Does this logic apply to the Second Amendment as well?

Does this logic apply to the moon as well?

Does this logic apply to scientists' interpretation of the Scriptures as well?
