Hello Christian Forums,

The question on my mind has been bothering me for a while now. I would appreciate as many replies and thoughts on this as possible.

MY QUESTION:
How was I born into this crooked and corrupt life apart from my creator? Whenever I ask myself this question I am directed to Romans 5:12. This verse takes me to the story of the first two humans in existence. I realize their stupidity, but why should their decision affect me in any way? Was I consulted before they picked a fruit off a tree? Was I secretly involved in their defiance and disobedience? How in the world am I supposed to accept the punishment for a decision that was not mine to make? How did you and I get tangled up in this mess to begin with?

From what I understand, God originally planned humanity to be perfect and to live with him in harmony forever. How was the life God destined for me and you altered because of a careless decision someone else made? Romans 3:23 says because one man sinned we all fall short of the glory of God. When Satan/Luficer/The Devil sinned did all angels fall short of the glory of God as well? That isn't the case. So why is it humans are the only part of creation that this weird concept seems to apply to? Why did other angels not have to share punishment for what Satan did? But yet, I am supposed to accept the punishment for what Adam/Eve did? How does this make any sense?

So why is it I'm sitting here now, in this incomplete state, where I have to reconcile with my creator before the end of my life or else I will be in eternal damnation? Why couldn't I live the blissful and worry-free life God intended for me to have?

Thanks,
Alex

Well then you would still have the same choice if you really want to listen to God and do what He says or not, which we now also have and I guess we all would have made that mistake. I'm glad I'm not the first one, so I can't get the blame for letting satan in.
Adam was deceived by Eve and she by the devil. Since Lucifer fell he spoiled it for everyone to just live worry free and happy and God could have made planets for everyone alone and gave them all the choice and the two trees and then we would be alone and man can't be alone and when another one comes it becomes a mess. Had Adam staid alone I think he would still not have sinned.

What reason do you have for this belief?

The woman was tempted by the devil and she saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, not Adam, so I thought without a woman he couldn't have been mislead. Adam didn't blame the devil when God asked him, he said Eve gave him the fruit.
Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife
1 Timothy 2
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.

Sorry this was nonsense, they had to get children, because if God created just one man and he did fall after all who could save him? It had to be also a man with the same flesh, the flesh nature had to be get rid off, so that's why they had to have kids, to get the Messiah to save us. It was impossible once they sinned and got also the nature of the devil in them, a mixture, to get totally holy kids like they were in the beginning.

"she saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise"

"She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it."

So Adam was with her. It would seem that Adam would have heard the same words that the serpent spoke to Eve. Then it would only be a matter of time until Adam could see that there might be something to gain from it (which is essentially what it was about). I think your assumption here has a significant flaw.

Curiosity killed the cat and apparently, thinking for ourselves in having that curiosity would have killed any one in doubting God at His word and wondering what is outside of His word. Now we know. Nothing good. That is the knowledge of good and evil. Now God has provided a way back to Himself so that once redeemed with sin & death to be dealt with forever in the lake of fire, the end result is our knowing God personally in that there is nothing good outside of God, and He does love us to provide that way back to Himself and thanks to Jesus Christ, saved believers shall never venture away from all that is good and of God again.

I don't think that life as a Christian is supposed to be easy. Christians are supposed to go through tribulation, struggle against the desires of the flesh, and be enemies of the world.

John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Galatians 5:17
For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.

James 4:4
You adulterers! Don't you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.

I think what a lot of people on here are trying to tell you is that us being sinful and separated from God through Adam and Eve's sin is just a biblical fact and hard to argue against. However, take heart, Jesus can redeem us in the same way that Adam and Eve's sin can damn us.

Romans 5:17-19
17For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. 18Therefore, as one trespassf led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousnessg leads to justification and life for all men. 19For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.

If you were pure and perfect like Jesus Christ is then my guess is that you would hear God's voice in the same way that Adam and Eve did. Even those that were not perfect, such as the prophet's, heard God's voice. I have never heard God's voice, and I probably never will, but I think it is possible to be connected to God like that in this lifetime like the Jesus and the prophets were, through God's power if He chooses.
