Some people translate this to say the flood covered the high hills. The current theory is the flood took place when the Persian Gulf was formed when the The Strait of Hormuz failed to hold back the water. Eden is now under water. Of course new information and a new theory could come along at any time. This theory is what the google satellite images tends to support.

As anyone can see, the flood waters prevailed or covered all the high hills and then the waters prevailed to a depth of 15 cubits (22.5 feet) and the mountains were covered. In Biblehub you can look this passage up in the Hebrew. The same word: he-hā-rîm. is used for both high hills and mountains. Moses repeats himself, he does not add information. I have spent many years looking for scientific evidence to show that this passage in the Bible is 100% accurate and true. With science we have to go where the evidence takes us. Right now the evidence indicates that Eden in the Bible is under the Persian gulf. In an area that is known for Pearls. (the acquisition of wisdom is above that of pearls.) I first began to study ancient history in high school around 50 years ago. We learn as we grow. When we are children we think as a child. Then we grow up and become adults. We gain better understanding over time. The Bible is going to be around for another 1,000 years. So we can continue to learn and grow in wisdom, knowledge and understanding. When we get to heaven we can talk to the people who wrote the Bible. Then we will have perfect understanding. Now Paul tells us that we see dimly as a reflection in a mirror. A mirror is like a picture. Like a picture of where you may travel to. What that verse says is that the waters "prevailed" they kept rising until the tops of the highest mountains were covered by 15 cubits of water. You may not know what a cubit is either. Fifteen cubits would not even make for a high hill, in fact it would be hard to call it a "hill".
Here is a more modern translation for you:
"19 The flood water surged even higher throughout the earth, until all the highest mountains under the sky were covered. 20 The flood waters rose 15 cubits above the mountains."

Go find you an unaltered version of Scripture. I suggest the KJV since it is the most read version, but throw away your version which sounds like you made it up, which you probably did. IOW, I wouldn't put it past you.
Then post any view of any born again Christian who has refuted me. How do you know what they accept? Answer: You don't, since my brothers and sisters in Christ accept me as one of them...and unlike you, they can tell the difference. Amen?
