That's (impossibly) convenient. Landmasses which influence climate moved or suddenly appeared, yet the climate stayed the same. Places where historical events happened and noteworthy people came from didn't exist, yet the influences of those events and people are still evident.

Try thinking through the implications of your claims, then consider the implications of fallible memory. Which is honestly the most likely explanation?
