The horseman of Conquest traditionally symbolises 'pestilence', just as the food merchant symbolises 'famine'. Their meanings/labels depend on which particular book they're taken from and how they're interpreted in various traditions.

Because there is no record of anything like it in the Patristic writings or the Sacred Scriptures, or even the Apocrypha (even the Gnostic apocrypha, which is saying something). I would also argue it is incompatible with Buddhism.
