  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Great collection of information above!

That video gave a helpful glimpse of the attitudes. It reminds me of Unitarian churches, where they have a strong intent to love each other and connect with God, proactively serve the community, live peacefully, but accept diverse beliefs more freely.

There are Friends that are very conservative as well. Some dress similar to old order Mennonites/Amish. I am very interested in the conservative branch myself, even hope to start a meeting down here. Look up the Ohio yearly Meeting Friends, or the Conservative Friends (Canada).

Here in the UK I have found Quakers to be extremely liberal. I doubt whether they can even still be regarded as Christians, despite their relatively glorious past.

If you are looking for a decent church in the UK, some networks you may wish to consider are:
- Newfrontiers;
- Acts 29;
- New Wine;
- Reformed Anglican;
- Elim;
- Assemblies of God.

I'm not sure I would call them Christian, because they are pretty much anything-"spiritual"/religious-goes.

Not necessarily. There are Christians in all branches of Quakerdom (theologically liberal, conservative, and otherwise), and most Quakers worldwide identify as Christian (with many being evangelical).
