PS2 or X-Box?

I have been wanting to get a PS2 just to play GTA3:SA .

This is one of the reasons I bought my PS2! You won't have to wait long for the XBOX version of SA,(March,or so I read).I'll buy it also,just to experience the enhanced graphics and custom soundtrack.I can play this game 12 hours a day!

Buy a modded X-Box. Then you can just store the games on the hard drive and save space! Less of a mess for your room.

It might be worth your while. Check out www.modchip.ca. I've used them before and they're pretty good.

If you're not into moding your system, then it's a toss up between the two systems. Since you already like the DDR game on the X-Box, then get the X-Box. It has a ton of other good games as well, so you won't regret getting it over the PS2.

Xbox, Engough said...There have been several debates on this issue, you could search to find them. In one I showed the hardware differences between them and how in every catagory Xbox doubles the PS2's capabilities...

I've got a PS2 myself, but if ya want people to be "all up ons", get an X-box (for Halo).

definately get xbox, cause u can play against a ton of other people on games like halo and so on, which is real fun.

Xbox can get addicting too and everyone has an xbox, and its fun to play in college, i play it alot during my free time in my dorm room

I have to have all systems. I love all games and can not leave any out. For example... I love the Gran Turismo games for PS2...and I love Halo for Xbox, and I love Half Life for PC. So I would get both but from what you said it seems it would be better for you to get an Xbox.

I have both too and from what i've found the PS2 is kinda week compared to the X-BOX. X-BOX lets you save right on to the console so there's no need for out of date memory cards, plus the games on X-BOX far out rate the ones on PS2. Graphics are better and game play is more flexable with most game limited to X-BOX. Dude i think there's only one choice.

Overall, I just think that XBox a better pick.....I like PS simply because they started the DDR idea.....but the fact that you have to save to a memory card is a bit stupid....although then you can take your saved stuff to a friends house with little hassle....but XB simply has what it takes to be a college system....

I have a friend with an X-Box and i own a PS2 so i should know which is better. I like PS2 better because basically everthing is the same except the controllers and the X-Box's controllers have hard buttons that hurt my fingers if i play too long thats about it. The downside to PS2 is there is no HALO game for it only can get that on a X-Box.

How in the world does he get ripped off? PC has more games than all three console combined some being the greatest games of all time. Half-Life anyone? how 'bout Doom? StarCraft? Quake? Command & Conquer? Diablo? Should I say it again...Half-Life?

I can name more, much more, but the fact remains that PC is where gaming started. If you ask me the Xbox has gotten to hyped up by a bunch of 12 and 13 year olds screaming "HALO, HALO, HALO".

Not trying to say these games are bad (I love them myself) but if your going to say Xbox is the best system try to point out a few more things that are so great about it other than Halo and Halo 2. And in terms of games for the PS2 I could do the same thing and start screaming "GTA, GTA, GTA" show me a more open and free world that can let you do as much as you can in GTA (please don't go whining about the killing and stuff in the game, I'm talking about the gameplay here).

I have PC and xbox, and I had PS2.

I played Half Life one, for about 30 mintues before returning it. But to be fair to the game, it was a few years old by then.
I have Half Life 2, and I have played that about 2 hours total.

If the PC only costed 500$, then that would be cheap. But it doesn't, try more like 1000 and up.

Xbox does online better. Sure they don't have the numbers, like how many people online at once. But xbox there isn't no where near the amount of cheating as PC, and on xbox everyone has a headset and mic.

PC is a much stronger machine. But for such a strong machine they sure don't cover all the genres.
Like fighting games.

Xbox is a great product for a cheap price.

Xbox 2 is most likely coming out with a memory card .

Microsoft has already made clear its wish to produce some sort of memory card for its next console and a variety of sources have claimed that if MS does so it will be in order to drop the hard drive.

If the xbox 2 doesn't have a hard drive, that wouldn't be cool, that was a big kicker for me, becasue i play tons of games, and i had how many memory cards for my ps2 before i sold it to buy an xbox...anyway...i loe xbox, i happen to also love ps2 and gamecube, not quie as much as xbox tho....about the controllers, the dukes are out, their gone, now they have conrtoller S's and so many 3rd party manufacturers making smaller and smaller controllers, i even seen one with all the buttons triggers and stuff, made on ly for shooters, it was cool, anyway yeah...everything else has been said
