PS2 or X-Box?

I'm debating on whether I want to get a PS2 or an X-box for college in the fall.

Prices are an issue for me, and I'm most likely going to check with my roomate about what her preferences are. Course she might not even want one at all but we'll see.

DDR is my favorite game, and I really like the one for X-box, and I'm used to that one then the ones on PS2.

What are your thoughts? Should I get an X-box or a PS2?

Get an X-box. I have both and the X-box is a lot better then the PS2. Plus with X-box you can go online much easier then you can with the PS2 and at college trust me there will be a lot of people with X-boxes.

I have both and I really prefer the XBox over the PS2!! I like the XBox only games (Like Blinx and Fable) and I've found that more of my friends have an XBox than a PS2 so it's easier to link up and play against each other!

Not for me I can't. My dad won't let me get X-box Live. I don't have the money for that. So if I want to get an X-box for college, I can't have X-box Live.

I have both, it depends on your interest. PS2 has bad online play, ok graphic engine and a great veriaty of games. XBOX has good online, sharper graphics and a decent veriaty of games. Theres other things that can break them down but I recommend you look at both games for the system and see which one carrys what you like more.

Xbox is my fave,but I love the small,compact size of the new PS2! Great for travel.

If I had to pick just between these two I would pick ps2. X Box is overrated.

It really depends on what kind of games you like. As for me, there's not much that honestly interests me on X-Box. I play a lot of RPG's, and the ones that really grab my attention are on PS2. The only games I would want for X-Box would be Shenmue and DDR... so it's not really worth it for me. There's so many games for PS2 that I really enjoy playing.

Xbox. The PS2 has been showing its age for a while now, and I've always hated the controllers (and many of the games). One option would be to simply wait until the Xbox 2 or the PS3 (more hype from Sony! Yay!) come out, but they'll probably be at a higher price point.

Well you haven't been playing xbox then, because they don't have those controllers any more.
Besides that reminds me of this girl who made fun of those people that say the original controller was too big.
She said something like "What are you five? I can use this controller no problem."

Both systems are very good.
I always say, if you want to play online then get an xbox.
If you don't, then get the PS2.

I have been wanting to get a PS2 just to play GTA3:SA and the new Metal Gear.
I own my xbox, and I have put more hours into it, than any other system before it, and I have played them all.
