First off I want let everyone know that I am not trying to offend anyone?
I am at the moment very confused and searching. But I am also have a prove it attitude towards things, and don't get involved in things unless I feel it is right, and was raised in a scientific type family. One of my big questions on christianity is...
Is there any proof other than the Bible about Jesus's divinity? If so, what?
I would like to ask you, would you follow God's way if you had proof?
If so you're saying you would follow His ways and turn from your old ways but only if you were convinced with some proof?
If you agree to these questions then think what you're saying, you're then saying you can follow God but with proof as somehow convicting you of your sin and somehow showing you what God is, somehow showing you His love, greatness and wisdom.
For what if satan convinced you with proof of his existence would you follow him.
I don't beleive it's how God chooses to reach us, i beleive it's a conviction of our hearts, seeing His way as truth and realising how our sins, our own way keeps us from His way of His pure love.
Jesus was the Word and taught us all from the lips of the only pure man to walk this earth.
His whole life was for us, He was the most perfect man ever, but let us mock, dispise and crucify Him as if He was filth of the earth, not realising the purity He spoke because of the evil in their hearts.
I beleive it's our evil that keeps us from Him, i beleive that stops us beleiving more than proof.
For for us to beleive in and follow His pure love, we have to be convicted of our lives, we have to turn from our ways which keep us from His ways.
For what are we giving up but our own desires, the way we choose for ourselves for our selfish gain, for our thinking we deserve anything, when we reject the greatest gift we are offered to seek our own gain, when really it only keeps us from the true greatest gain.
Mat 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mat 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Mat 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
All the anger and bitterness that riles inside us, comes from us thinking something of ourselves and maybe how harshly we are treated, or how someone has taken something we wanted, we make ourselves as someone who deserves of the world, and then that's what we inherit and the evil that comes from it.
But think of the love in your heart if you seek not your own gain, if you suffer for righteousness which is of God, if you show all humility to walk in His ways, then why would you have bitterness or the evil emotions of the world, if you seek to do His will.
For if you seek to do His will who created all things and our very existence, then there is nothing that can give you a more purer fullfillment, you can't get a greater peace or a pure love than from the Creator Himself.
And He wisely gives it the way He has wisely chosen to distribute it.
For He gives us and shows us how to live in all humilty of heart, with peace and unselfishness and His purity fullfilling us.
