Hello. Many traditions within Christianity floating around.

The last seven years, imho, happend during the 7 years of the Jewish wars, culmination in the siege and conquering of Masada in 73ad.......[I show 2 utube vids of both of those historical Jewish events]

[Please visit my "rumors of wars........" thread:]

My thread on the siege of Masada in 70ad.......

The fortress at Masada in Israel
How many mountain fortresses did the Jews have in the 1st century
When I did a google search asking that, it took me to Masada.
Masada means fortress. 70ad Jerusalem was also considered a fortress.
Masada - Wikipedia
.
I understand that all inductees into the modern Israeli army take their oath in Fortress Masada.
Herod the Great built palaces and fortresses in the Dead Sea area. Jesus Christ Superstar was filmed in the area between Advat National Park and Masada National Park in Israel. Herod the Great built much structures in this area...

Just no! This is terrible eschatology! Even if the Jews build another temple, it's an exercise in futility. All one has to do is read Hebrew 9 & 10. God will not honor any temple since Christ fulfills the temple.

Typically the way to "muddy up" the facts, is too use "counter scholarship" misinformation.

Actually, a huge question would be if the Dome of The Rock is not on the Temple Mount, then what keeps the Jews from building this 3rd temple...could they be sorely mistaken about the location of the temple?

This article is quite interesting:

Now let me see: Jesus was crucified in 33 AD. The temple was not destroyed until 70 AD. Paul, a born again in Christ Hebrew, kept the law, went to the temple for the high holy Sabbaths while he was an evangelist, and so did all the born again in Christ Jews keep the law as related to the temple until the temple was destroyed in 70 AD.
And you will have to throw out the Word of God and make up a myth to claim that the Jews will not have a temple again, in Jerusalem, and keep the law as Moses taught, until the tribulation is ended.
Then, you have to completely throw out Ezekiel’s temple, for when Israel is restored at the beginning of the Sabbath millennium, there is a temple in Jerusalem that all gentile nations must send their representatives to on the three holy Sabbaths in the Jewish feasts, or else their nation will get no rain, as the prophet states.
Zechariah chapter 8 -14 certainly lays the restoration of Israel out....
Just before His ascension, the disciples asked Jesus, “LORD, will you at this time (when He sends the Holy Ghost of Power upon them) restore the kingdom of Israel?
Says Jesus: “It is not for you to know the times of seasons the Father has put in His own authority”.
But you shall receive Power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and to the ends of the earth”.

No. Paul never kept the law after being saved. The book of Galatians spells that out empahtically!

And you will have to throw out the Word of God and make up a myth to claim that the Jews will not have a temple again, in Jerusalem, and keep the law as Moses taught, until the tribulation is ended.
What I said is if the Jews build a temple God will not honor it. Hebrews 9 & 10 point that out emphatically.

Ezekiel's temple was never built because Israel never repented, (Remember as Ezekiel writes they're in exile). Ezekiel never revealed it as Ezekiel 43:10-12 spells out:
10 “As for you, son of man, describe the temple to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the plan.
11 If they are ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the design of the house, its structure, its exits, its entrances, all its designs, all its statutes, and all its laws. And write it in their sight, so that they may observe its whole design and all its statutes and do them.
12 This is the law of the house: its entire area on the top of the mountain all around shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.

Show me where "the house of Israel" repented please...because if they did, that temple would have been built.

Zechariah chapter 8 -14 certainly lays the restoration of Israel out....
Really? Let's look at Zechariah 13:7:
“Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, And against the man, My Associate,” Declares the Lord of hosts. “Strike the Shepherd that the sheep may be scattered; And I will turn My hand against the little ones.

Now...Jesus quoted that at Matthew 23:31 as a fulfillment before going to the cross. I believe you have no clue what Zechariah 8-14 is really about. (No offense intended)

You do notice not one apostle wrote about temple restoration, nor did Jesus ever speak about temple restoration? Also you do realize what Paul says in Romans 9:6-8 as well as Ephesians 2:19-22?
Keep waiting on the restoration of Israel. I will tell you what Paul told the Galatians..."the Jerusalem above is free...she is our mother."

Galatians tells those who think that by keeping Moses that they add unto salvation in Christ, but Paul knew the oracles were YHWH’s “Show and Tell” about the Person and work of the LORD Jesus Christ. The nation of Israel took an oath to keep those oracles forever, until all is fulfilled, at Sinai.
Paul said he was keeping Pentecost at the temple in Jerusalem on at least two occasions, once in Acts and once in Corinthians.
Paul said if you are called into Christ (born again) while in circumcision (under the Law of Moses), then remain, and if you are called into Christ not in circumcision (not keeping nor in the Law of Moses -which means born again Gentiles- and born again Jews who were not walking in the righteousness of the Law -which does not save, but points to Salvation, and to all the works Yeshua would do for our Salvation) to not come under circumcision, under the Law, but to remain as you were called.
But even Paul circumcised Timothy with his very own born again in Christ hands before taking Timothy with him on his journey to visit the Gentile churches with the letter from the Council of Apostles in Jerusalem that told them that they were not to keep Moses.
Paul was blameless as to the Law of Moses until the day he died.
And FYI: Jesus comes back to earth dressed in the Garment of Salvation (His New Creation body), as Revelation 19 states, and wears the garments of High Priest of earth which Aaron and his sons donned as types and who served in the office of Christ after they were anointed to serve in the office of Messiah, as high priest, until He should come who will never die, and takes His throne over earth.
Jesus comes to reign for a thousand years from heaven above and Jerusalem, Israel below over all earth and which city and nation are named after His own name.
there will be a temple in that time, as there is a temple in heaven (which temple is set in the sun, as Scripture states, in the original and in several translations), there will be a temple on earth for a thousand year Sabbath.
But in that temple, there will not ever be an Ark of the Covenant, for that is fulfilled once, for all, and all will be walking in His name in that time.
There will be memorial Pentecost services, but not first of first fruits gathering and offering, for that is fulfilled...
Zechariah 9, I think it is, tells how the fasts will be celebrated as feasts of joyful remembrance, in the millennial reign, in Israel; and in Zec. 14, all the nations will come up to Jerusalem (their family representatives), on the holy Feast of Tabernacles and if they do not come up to Jerusalem, Israel, then Their nation will get no rain on their nation for that year.

This is so false and misguiding as to what Galatians is about, it's mystifying that you could read Galatians and come away thinking that. Paul preached the gospel...and Judaizers (Jews in bondage to the "Law of Moses"), would come behind him trying to convince Gentiles converted to Christ that they had to be circumcised. The was the subject of Acts 15!

Paul said he was keeping Pentecost at the temple in Jerusalem on at least two occasions, once in Acts and once in Corinthians.
Paul never said he was "keeping Pentecost". He used Pentecost as an opportunity to preach the gospel to his Jewish people, just as everywhere he went he went to the synagogue first to share the Gospel with the Jews. When you find a verse saying Paul was going to "keep Pentecost", please share that.

Paul also said this in Galatians 6:12-13:
12 Those who desire to make a good showing in the flesh try to compel you to be circumcised, simply so that they will not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.
13 For those who are circumcised do not even keep the Law themselves, but they desire to have you circumcised so that they may boast in your flesh.

Why do you not include that?

...and now...the rest of the story, which is in Acts 16. The reason Paul circumcised Timothy was to pacify the Jews who knew Timothy's father was Greek...Acts 16:1-3:
Paul came also to Derbe and to Lystra. And a disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was a Greek,
2 and he was well spoken of by the brethren who were in Lystra and Iconium.
3 Paul wanted this man to go with him; and he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those parts, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.

Now...contrast that to what Paul did when the Jews wanted him to circumcise Titus, which he talked about to the Galatians at Galatians 2:3-5:
3 But not even Titus, who was with me, though he was a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised.
4 But it was because of the false brethren secretly brought in, who had sneaked in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to bring us into bondage.
5 But we did not yield in subjection to them for even an hour, so that the truth of the gospel would remain with you.

You get it yeshuasavedme? In one instance Paul circumcised Timothy to not offend the Jews so it wouldn't hinder his preaching the gospel...NOT to keep the Law. It was a calculation he made to have an opportunity to share Christ.

In the instance of Titus; Jews were insisting Titus be circumcised to keep the Law...and Paul refused because he knew keeping the Law added nothing to Titus, and if he did circumcise Titus he was adding works of the Law to salvation!

Paul was blameless as to the Law of Moses until the day he died.
Are we talking about the same Paul??? Who said this in 1 Corinthians 9:19-23:
19 For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to all, so that I may win more.
20 To the Jews I became as a Jew, so that I might win Jews; to those who are under the Law, as under the Law though not being myself under the Law, so that I might win those who are under the Law;
21 to those who are without law, as without law, though not being without the law of God but under the law of Christ, so that I might win those who are without law.
22 To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak; I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some.
23 I do all things for the sake of the gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it.

Is that the same Paul?

The rest I'll deal with later...it's time for bed.

The post above by ebedmelech is filled with twistings of what Paul said, so much so that it would take just lots of NT Scriptures to refute them.
Paul was careful to not offend the Jews, and so he made sure Timothy, a half Jew, who was a believer in Christ, was circumcised before Paul took him on a mission trip to deliver to the Gentiles the letter assuring them that no Apostle in the council in Jerusalem believed Gentiles had to be circumcised (keep Moses). Timothy was a Jew, not circumcised. Timothy was brought up to know the LAw, but his circumcision was neglected. Paul was accused by the Jewsof not keeping Moses. Paul assured them he was blameless concerning the Law. To be blameless means that he kept Moses.
Keeping Moses Law is a covenant Israel made for all their descendants at Sinai. It is binding upon Jews because of their fathers’ oath at Sinai. But the Law did not save them, but showed the way of Salvation which was to come. The Law was committed to them as the living Oracles.
The sin of the Judaising Jews is they made the Law the be all end all, but Paul said Christ is the Goal of the Law. Those who have come to the Goal as Jews do not abandon Moses, but are fulfilled in the Atonement which is once, for all, for whosoever believes.
As to people like Ebedmelech, they want to Gentilize believing Jews. Paul was having none of it either way.
So we have Gentilizers to the Jews, and Judaizers to the Gentiles. Both are equally repugnant to Paul, because they are both done in blindness to the Message of the Teaching/Torah, about the Person and work of the Messiah.
Messiah, the Firstborn and High Priest forever, the Everlasting Father, is the Light to the Gentiles, and blindness to both Judaizers and Gentilizers.
Paul wrote to remain in Moses (circumcision) if you come into Christ in the circumcision, and to NOT be circumcised (take up Moses) if you come into Christ not in the circumcision.

Yeshuasavedme, you're the twister. All those following this thread need do is go to the scriptures I shared in my post.

Meantime...all you have to do is find one passage where Paul tells people to follow the OT Law but you won't because it doesn't exist.

When Jesus walked this earth He observed the Law because that was His mission, to perfectly fulfill the Law. Upon doing that He became the Passover Lamb, which fulfilled what the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread were looking to...Christ!

Now...as to "Gentilizing" Jews...that's far from what I wish to do. If anyone wants to observe the Laws of the OT, thats their business. Just don't try to get me to do so because I stand in the freedom that Christ gave me in the New Covenant.

Lastly. It was Paul who said " In Christ, neither is circumcision anything nor is uncircumcision anything."

I take that to the bank!

Do Gentile Christian have to keep the Saturday Sabbath, practice circumcision, not eat pork..........
A Jew that is already circumcised of the flesh cannot put the skin back on and again be uncircumcised.......
A few interesting "Law" threads:

if you observe Circumc*sion, Christ will profit you nothing.

if you observe Sabbath, Christ will profit you nothing.
if you observe Sabbath, Christ will profit you nothing. (2)
If you do not eat pork, Christ will profit you nothing

Little Lamb, Paul said Gentiles who are called/come into Christ are NOT to come under the Law/Teaching/Torah. So did the Council of Apostles in Jerusalem settle it, and wrote the letter to the Gentile Churches freeing them from that bondage.
Paul delivered the letter. Paul took Timothy with him. Paul circumcised Timothy first, before taking him.
Paul stated it again to the Corinthians: remain in Moses if called in Christ and do NOT come into/under circumcision if called in Christ.
Gentilizing the Jews is as serious an error as Judaising the Gentiles. Paul makes it plain.

And How does a Christian-Jew today "remain in Moses" exactly?

And How does a Christian-Jew today "remain in Moses" exactly?
Exactly the same way the early Jewish Believers who came into Christ did, like Paul and the Apostles in Jerusalem.
Acts 15
15 And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.” 2 Therefore, when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and dispute with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them should go up to Jerusalem, to the apostles and elders, about this question....

[e]“Known to God from eternity are all His works. 19 Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to God, 20 but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from [f]sexual immorality, from things strangled, and from blood. 21 For Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”
The Jerusalem Decree

22 Then it pleased the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas, namely, Judas who was also named Barsabas,[g] and Silas, leading men among the brethren.

23 They wrote this letter by them:

The apostles, the elders, and the brethren,

To the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia:

Greetings.

24 Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, [h]saying, “You must be circumcised and keep the law”—to whom we gave no such commandment— 25 it seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27 We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who will also report the same things by word of mouth. 28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: 29 that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual[j] immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well.

Farewell.
Continuing Ministry in Syria

30 So when they were sent off, they came to Antioch; and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the letter. 31 When they had read it, they rejoiced over its encouragement. 32 Now Judas and Silas, themselves being prophets also, exhorted and strengthened the brethren with many words. 33 And after they had stayed there for a time, they were sent back with greetings from the brethren to [k]the apostles.

Exactly the same way the early Jewish Believers who came into Christ did, like Paul and the Apostles in Jerusalem.

EXACTLY the same way?

Are you sure?

Your scriptural references don't support that contention at all.

Paul and James men kept vows and even gave blood sacrifices in Acts 21:18-26 as was their custom to be zealous for the Law (Acts 21:20):

18 On the following day Paul went in with us to James, and all the elders were present. 19 When he had greeted them, he told in detail those things which God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry. 20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord. And they said to him, “You see, brother, how many myriads of Jews there are who have believed, and they are all zealous for the law; 21 but they have been informed about you that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children nor to walk according to the customs. 22 What then? The assembly must certainly meet, for they will hear that you have come. 23 Therefore do what we tell you: We have four men who have taken a vow. 24 Take them and be purified with them, and pay their expenses so that they may shave their heads, and that all may know that those things of which they were informed concerning you are nothing, but that you yourself also walk orderly and keep the law. 25 But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written and decided that they should observe no such thing, except that they should keep themselves from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality.”26 Then Paul took the men, and the next day, having been purified with them, entered the temple to announce the expiration of the days of purification, at which time an offering should be made for each one of them.

It says above that Jewish Christians must continue in sacrifices, circumcision and indeed ALL the requirements of the Mosaic Law, (of which there are over 600) while Gentile Christians should "Observe no such thing" and instead had only a few legal requirements to follow...

Surely you are aware that Nearly 1/2 of the Law of Moses required a Temple and legitimate Levitical priests just in order to observe the Law, right?

As you eluded to, It is EXPLICITLY TESTIFIED in scripture that The Old Covenant practices including blood sacrifices, vows, and feasts continued right on in Israel until AD 70. (long after the Temple Veil was Rent, and REPAIRED)

AND, the early Jerusalem Church continued to observe Moses in all ways all through the book of Acts since only the gentiles were permitted to by-pass the Laws of Moses.

So Back to my original question:
How does a Christian-Jew today "remain in Moses" exactly?
Scripture shows how Paul & James' men "remained"....Can you name one Jewish Christian Today who keeps even HALF of what Paul & James and their men Kept?

Or perhaps you have a much more "free and loose" definition of "Exactly the same way" than I do?

The NT supports that Paul and the Jews who came into Christ were blameless concerning the Torah/
Teaching/Law. ...not the added requirements of the oral laws that were added that you speak of.
Paul is a born again in Christ, water baptized, tongues speaking/singing praying male Hebrew of the tribe of Benjamin. He never became a Gentile when he came into Christ, and neither did the Jews of the Church who came into Christ depart from Moses. Moses did not give 600 laws. You err.
Neither did Gentiles who came into Christ come under circumcision/Moses.
As Scripture states, the Law/Torah/Teaching was committed as living oracles only to the namesake people of the New Man name, to be a show and tell to the world of the Person and work of God who was to come, in flesh, and is come, in flesh, to not only be a Light to the Gentiles but to bring Israel back to Himself -and so, as Paul says, “All Israel will be saved when the times of the Gentiles (the Church age) is come in”=gathered into the Barn/Heaven, from whence the Seed/Christ, is come.
“You need that one teach you”, states Paul in Hebrews (I believe he wrote Hebrews, as early Church stated) “which be the first principles of the Law”.
The Law was never “Salvation”, but always pointed the Way to “Go in”, to heaven, “in Christ”, “the Goal/End”, of the Teaching/Torah.
The Holy Oracles were given at Sinai, and there are not 600 of them. The Hebrew nation named after Him who was to come (Israel -Isaiah 49), took a vow unbreakable forever, for them and their descendants to keep the Torah -not 600 Laws, but the ordinances that Moses wrote down...
They were God’s Show and Tell, of the Person and Work of Christ who was to come and is come -and IS coming.

Did Paul say in Galatians 3:16-29 the law was "added" 430 years "after" the promise made to Abraham "until" the seed (Christ) could come to whom the promise was made?

Did Paul in Galatians 4:24-31 compel the Galatian believers to "cast out" the Sinai Covenant of "bondage"?

Did King David break the commandments regarding adultery and murder?

Based on Luke 21:24-28, the times of the Gentiles comes to fullness at Christs Second Coming.
Did Paul say some people will be saved outside the New Covenant Church in Romans chapter 11?

Based on the parable of the virgins from Matthew 25:1-13, will unbelievers be saved at His Second Coming?

Based on 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10, does Christ return "in flaming fire" taking vengeance on those who do not know Him?

Believers in the Messiah, Jesus/Yeshua, are warned not to graft themselves into circumcision/Moses.
Those who are Israel/Jacob's seed who come into Salvation in Yeshua, the Messiah are warned not to depart from the circumcision.
WHY?
Because the Living Oracles were committed only to the namesake nation as a show and tell for all the nations of the Person and work of the Seed who was to come, is come, and shall come. They took an oath at Sinai to never depart from that covenant between YHWH and themselves for all their descendants.
So some were cut off the TREE, and some of us Gentiles are grafted in, but they can be grafted back in who were cut off the Tree, and Gentiles can be cut off, who do not keep Jesus' WAY, after coming into Him.
Adopted into the one Living Spirit/Christ, Jews and Gentiles, males and females are all one as to the Spirit, but there will always be males and females and Jews and Gentiles in Christ -or out of Him, but when He comes back, all remaining on earth for the Millennial Sabbath will be in Christ, and One spirit in His Living Spirit. That is, those who are left on earth after the rapture of the Church, who come to believe in His name during the tribulation, are born into His Living Spirit at His return. That happens at the judgment of the sheep and the goats and the elect of the namesake name, which is at Mt Sinai.

Hi Little Lamb,
Melchidezek -who is Shem- was a priest of the Most High God, in the office of "Firstborn" over earth after Enoch ascended. Enoch was firstborn and priest, descended from Seth, who was in that office.
Noah received that office from Melchidezek. Noah passed it to Shem. Shem gave it to Abraham. Abraham gave it to Isaac. Isaac gave it to Jacob. Jacob gave it to Levi. Moses was in the office of priest and king, and passed the priesthood office to Aaron... and down it came to the time John the Baptist, who should have the office in his lifetime if it had not been sold politically from the time of the Maccabees, but God recognized it for John, and John transferred that office of Firstborn and high priest back to Jesus/Yeshua, Messiah, in the "Baptism unto Righteousness"; then the Holy Spirit descended upon the Christ come in flesh as the Anointing which the sons of Aaron only typed in receiving that office by the Messiah oil upon their entry into the temporary office, which they could never keep because of death.

Adam was created to be high priest and high king of earth, and to reign from Paradise over earth which is in the third heaven. Adam died in spirit and was cast down and out of Paradise in the third heaven lest he eat of the Tree of Life and live forever in the defiled flesh and be only fit to be cast into the LAke of fire as a "never dying worm", which means his flesh would never be transformed to the glory. All Adam's seed died in his loins that day, and none could ever give a ransom for their own soul much less for any other: But God has come in flesh as "only Begotten Son" -not in the flesh of Adam, but in the New Creation flesh, which is named "Israel" and came to be our Kinsman Redeemer.

Everything Adam lost at the fall, the brother to Adam, Christ in New Creation flesh named "Israel", has ransomed back for Himself, and He has ascended and He is glorified. The office of High Priest ruling from heaven is His, and as such, He is the "Everlasting Father", as Isaiah says, of the adopted sons for the regeneration of them into His New Man image.
So we have a never dying High Priest of earth ruling from heaven at this time, and He is our Ever Living Father because we have received the Living Spirit of Adoption when we were born again. He is THE High Priest after the (Patriarchal) order of Melche Zedek -the King of Righteousness.

And the legal right to the throne of David is His, through Joseph, for being born out of the womb of the wife of Joseph, He is the Firstborn son of Joseph whose right to that throne was. The reason two genealogies are given for Jesus through Joseph is to show Jesus' legal descent from Adam (Kinsman Redeemer is His legal office), and His legal right to the throne of David.
