again, this isn't a fix-all solution to the parenting problem, but simply a deterrent (and a revenue generator). You got a better idea let's here it :)

so it's all about money. I am not even going to comment on that, But i am sure if you really thought of it, you could come with with some fund raising ideals other than this one,

And if I don't? Do they force it to be killed, what If I don't go to the doctor, and don't let them know the wife is pregnant, will you require all women who are fertile get mandatory pregnancy test every 6 months?

No, sorry my social circle isn't that wide, do you?

Yet you still don't describe what this test consist of, why is that?

Oh like living ? Life is 100% Fatal and you WILL DIE FROM IT !!!

Yes a very small % of people are bad parents, so because of that you want to create a new set of laws for 100% of the people, give the government new powers to regulate who can procreate and where & when and how (Recall "The state; and they're not "in charge" of my reproducing any more than the DMV is in charge of me driving a car.")

Please read the OP again. The answer is no though

Can't say that I do...but I cannot imagine anyone in such a state to be able to care for a child...social services would probably take the child now and pass it to an available family member if willing and applicable.

Because this is hypothetical at best ^_^

Yes, and your point? See the definition of the word 'harm.'

Cool, so let the minority suffer...great cop-out. When, where, and how is not even in the scope of this discussion...don't know where you are getting that from

    So no enforcement then?
To Enforce that, you have to know that a woman is pregnant, to do that you must test them or else they can just not go to the doctor. (you know like women did for 1000s of years, gave birth without doctors)

So you can't imagine it so it can't be done. got it.

It's your thread, you did think it through right?

    Harm: physical or mental damage
Life causes physical & mental damage.
Bringing a child into this world guarantees that the child will be harmed.

Go back and read the thread then.
You want the government to control 100% of the births because of a few bad parents, that's the very definition of punishing everyone for the crimes of a few.

Also I didn't say let the minority suffer, you're saying that.
(or do you think all those unlicensed births will just have a wonderful life in the overcrowded government housing systems?)

    *sigh* read the OP

    You can?

Sorry I haven't drafted the bill either yet before making the thread either

There ya go :) How about abused and neglected by their parents? Is that guaranteed too?

Is the government in 100% control of me buying and driving a car? How about firearm ownership? Sure there are a few hurdles to jump over...but I don't hear anyone complaining about them.

Again...a deterrent...not a fix-all solution. You have to have a marriage license to get married, why not to give birth? Why no hoop-lah over having to have a marriage license?!

    I did.
Using some modern technology, I can see how it can be done.
Didn't say it was, you appear to see the worse in everything, is that normal for you?

buying no, driving yep. They give you the privilege of driving, it isn't a right (You do recall all that DMV Stuff to get a License right?)

You must not read much then, I'm reading every month about people fighting the laws on gun ownership.

I don't have to have a marriage license for a church marriage, only if I wan't to have my wife as a Legal entity.

And remember your OP also stated
That involves either not allowing consummation or not allowing delivery.
Witch one are you going to stop if they don't follow the rules?

My idea is this preach Christ to those who are lost and get them saved then get them baptized in the Holy Spirit. Lets not depend on man's wisdom but depend on the power and Spirit of God alone. When man makes laws without God they are automatically flawed because we are imperfect. The Spirit of God will change people, lets preach the Word more and get them saved.

I note with interest you don't respond to the comment I made about these views parroting Margaret Sanger. That doesn't phase you in the least? Does it at all bother you that you hold a viewpoint commiserate with the "mother of abortion and infanticide"?

because I don't even know who she is.

She does, and agrees that there should be some sort of legal process that would limit or deter unplanned pregnancies. She doesn't agree with some of the details, but seems to agree that a license or permit is a good idea. She also teaches in the worst school in Wake County...and has observed for years the lack of caring and concern of the parents on behalf of the children...so maybe she's a little biased. Back in Georgia, we saw the worst of it though...to the extreme. I used to be an advocate of legal sterilization, but I guess I'm growing softer the older I get.

So you and your girlfriend believe that the government should approve a couple having a child and issue a permit before they can have a child?

WilliamB, Jesus isn't a 100 pound weakling who doesn't know what to do to stop people from kicking sand in his face. Just thought that I would remind you of that. Your photo is more than a little off-course.
