Pro–Donald Trump rioters could face serious penalties for subverting the presidential election process.

More than 60 people were arrested on Wednesday after rioters breached the Capitol, assaulted officers, and stole items, including government laptop, law enforcement said on Thursday. Additionally, the stolen laptop may have contained "sensitive national security information," CBS News reported.

Riots sparked by the police killing of George Floyd could cost insurance companies $1 billion to $2 billion — possibly making them the most expensive in US history, an industry group says.


The potentially record-setting insured losses piled up as the demonstrations sometimes descended into looting, arson and vandalism in more than 20 states across the country from May 26 to June 8, according to the Insurance Information Institute.


“It’s not just happening in one city or state — it’s all over the country,” Loretta L. Worters, a spokeswoman for the group, told Axios, which first reported on the estimates Wednesday. “And this is still happening, so the losses could be significantly more.”

I never said that Antifa were 'behind the whole thing'. I said that Antifa had infiltrated the Trump rally, or to put it another way, mingled with Trump supporters. The extent to which Antifa were involved in storming the Capitol is not known, however, it is clear that they were present, and sufficiently active as be among those who entered the building. And unfortunately for the radical, far-Left, the evidence was caught on camera.

Watching the events unfold at the nation’s Capitol today, a familiar face was spotted inside the capitol and was also standing next to Ashli Babbitt, the woman who lost her life when she was shot and killed by law enforcement while attempting to enter the interior of the Capitol. Three other individuals lost their lives during the protest that turned into a group storming the Capitol. The only problem is… he is definitely not a “Trump supporter”.

There was violence, yes. Some of it brought on by the police, some by the protesters and some of it by outside agitators. There were also thousands of protests across the country that didn’t descend into violence. I don’t know of anyone that called the violence and destruction or looting that was seen and reported on as peaceful.

Likewise, no one is calling the protest that happened on Wednesday earlier before the rioting as violent or an insurrection. It didn’t become an insurrection until several hundreds of protesters who were at the earlier event with the president descended upon the Capitol and started making their way in.
