You're undoubtedly confused in your darkened analytical mind, separated from Christ. Eph 4:17-18

For there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, Rom 8:1
Avoiding reality is not the way to go, brother. Are there probabilities in the real world or is everything just yes or no? Does probability exist? Perhaps you have trouble with the concept of probability. Am I right? You need to face this reality if you are having trouble with it. Avoiding the reality is not healthy. At least not mentally. This is the 10th time I am asking. So far, you have not answer a simple question:

Does probability exist?
They perish because they did not receive the truth [Christ] in order to be saved. 2 Thess 2:10

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name; John 1:12-13

You're missing what we call "theophanies."

Melchizedek, the three Angels that visited Abraham before Sodom & Gomorrah were destroyed, the burning bush, the Death Angel at the Passover in Egypt, the Angel that Jacob wrestled with, the fourth Man in the fire with Daniel's friends -- all preincarnate appearances of Jesus Christ.

But when Jesus took on human flesh through Mary ... that was His incarnation.

Theophanies! Ok I get what's happening.
The three angels that visited Abraham, the 4th person in the fire, that's an awesome theophany, the angel Jacob wrestled , these I agree are theophanies. Those are obviously manifestations from heaven. Melchizedek didn't come down from heaven. He was a Pagan king that worshipped the Most High God. I believe Melchizedek preserved the oral tradition of our Genesis stories incorrupt and without error.

The other traditions that existed were founded on memory tainted with unresolved suffering and distorted perception. In short, family baggage.

Melchizedek is a type. Abraham and Isaac are a type of Our Father in heaven and Jesus. The life of Joseph was a type of Christ.
Someone who is living out their human life, even if shrouded in mystery, like Melchizedek's isn't a theophany.

Pagans don't praise God nor do they promote the faith. 1 Thess 4:5-8, 1 Cor 15:33-34
Unless of course they recover Acts 5:31 God leads them to a knowledge of the truth. 2 Tim 2:25-26

Where is the word pagans in the scripture? Or is it just a synonym for Gentiles or heathens?

Thanks, thats bracketed, do you have a few of them I can look up in your version? Because the Gentiles are called the nations, or shownas the heathen and are also understood to be by quite a few to be pagans (not Jews obviously). But they could also considered "unbelievers" in their former state as Paul writes, For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief.

And given in the past where we see a similitude of the Son of God in Melchisedec (King of Salem/ Peace) after his days in the flesh he was begotten from the dead God having raised him up again and making him a high priest in his order.

The second psalm 2:7 (which had to be fulfilled) as shown in Acts 13:33 follows saying,

Psalm 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

What come to mind as it related to pagans (King of, as he is being called) we have a high priest after the order of Melchizedek the one who is a similitude of a King of pagans/heathen/nations/Gentiles or those who walked in unbelief? So to speak.

Which King met Abram, and who was before Abraham was even named Abraham

Gen 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

Who is the one who served the bread and the wine to Abraham Gen 14:18 (that which also shows the Lord's death) for if he were on earth he should not be a priest

Gal 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham,
saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

Just looking at another way to catch more in Melchisedec

Yeah, but I still cannot find the word pagan originating in the Hebrew. What is strange is associating Melchisedec who is shown as the king of Salem and priest of the most high God (which by interpretation is King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace but yet is still considred a pagan priest. Would sound strange to say, Jesus Christ being" called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec" (or rather, after the order of a pagan priest ) in contrast to Aaron.

Did it even originate in the Hebrew? The word pagan here

How are they coming up with Jesus Christ being" called of God an high priest after the order of a pagan priest (meaning Melchisedec) while neither being a priest of Baal (in the pagan sense) but a priest of the most high God?

It's not blabbing by asking,

"How are they coming up with Jesus Christ being" called of God an high priest after the order of a pagan priest"

It's an intelligent question to ask How a pagan priest can be the priest of the most high God.

Not really asking you, I know you don't know just putting it out there.

Melchizedek was --

Genesis 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

He was not --

Genesis 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was a priest of the most high God.

He was also --

Genesis 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

A priest talks to God on behalf of the people

A prophet talks to the people on behalf of God.

A king is just that, a king.

In the Old Testament, a person could serve in the capacity of both king and prophet (Saul).

A person could also serve in the capacity of a prophet and priest (Samuel).

But under NO CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER was a person to serve in the capacity of king and priest.

Two men tried that -- (Saul & Uzziah) -- and both IMMEDIATELY incurred the wrath of God and were severely punished.

The capacity of priest and king in the Old Testament was reserved for God only.

Melchizedek was Jesus Christ.

You are misunderstanding me, not sure of you are following the string of posts, others have called Melchizedek a pagan priest and I am begging the question as to how can that be true of Melchizedek (who is made like unto the Son of God) as a priest of the most high God.

Its more a question as to where they get the whole pagan idea surrounding him (who would represent the Son of God) and the priesthood he would be called after. If you are catching what I am saying.

I'm basically saying, howso if Melchizedek was made like unto Jesus Christ the Son of God

No -- Melchizedek was not a pagan priest.

He was king of Salem (Jerusalem), which probably consisted of pagans, since Jerusalem is Jebus-Salem, and Jebus was the third son of Canaan, son of Ham.

So I take it, Jesus Christ is king of Salem, acting in the capacity of priest on behalf of the people.

In other words, He is speaking to God on behalf of the inhabitants of Salem.

Which is what He does on our behalf as well.

If Jesus was a pagan priest, He would be officiating in their pagan rituals.

And we know better than that!

Thats interesting, I never heard of the Salem part referred to as Jerusalem, although I do get that Peace part and Jerusalem part. I have to look into that. I was thinking when some folks were calling Salem where Melchizedek was a King a pagan place (and his priesthood was pagan) I was scratching my head as to how on earth that could be. So then I was trying to look at it only in light of Melchizedek's priesthood (as far as it applies to the risen Christ) a light to the Gentiles (so to speak) in the whole comparing thing (backwards/forwards) and trying to catch a gimpse of that back there.

Which I should really not say because I will mess up what I mean until I find the right words first. But that was good to know, thanks for giving me something to look at, thats rare when someone does that for me ^_^
