  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Preincarnate Jesus was Melchizedek

For this Melchizedek, translated “king of righteousness,” and then also king of Salem, meaning “king of peace,” without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest forever. (7:3)

The writer of Hebrews states: “So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to Him: ‘You are my Son, today I have begotten you.’ As He also says in another place: ‘You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek’ ” (5:5-6).

Therefore He is able also to save forever those who come to God through Him, Heb 7:25

Therefore simply say ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
My next roll of the dice will be a 5.

Yes or no?

Let me try another angle.
You can try as many futile angles that you can conjure, nevertheless, there is only one way to get to God.
My next roll of the dice will be a 5.

Yes or no?
No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

Isn't this a Christian Artificial intelligence program?
Judge for yourself.
May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him...Eph 1:17-23

This is how we know Him; He has given us His Spirit. 1 John 4:13

So that through the proclamation of the gospel, the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Rom 15:16

Luck has nothing to do with it.
Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit; 2 Cor 1:21-22

If Jesus is Melchizedek how is that defined as preincarnate? Wouldn't it be more precise to define Melchizedek as Jesus' first incarnation?

Pre-incarnate.

Pre-incarnate.
Doesn't that imply that Melchizedek is not incarnate?
If he is incarnate he can't be Jesus.
If he is the Son of God and come in the flesh ..then it happened twice right? One named Melchizedek one named Jesus. What am I missing?

You're missing what we call "theophanies."

Melchizedek, the three Angels that visited Abraham before Sodom & Gomorrah were destroyed, the burning bush, the Death Angel at the Passover in Egypt, the Angel that Jacob wrestled with, the fourth Man in the fire with Daniel's friends -- all preincarnate appearances of Jesus Christ.

But when Jesus took on human flesh through Mary ... that was His incarnation.

Your roll of the dice only concerns yourself.
They stumble, being disobedient to the Word, ... But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 1 Peter 2:6-9

It sounds like you are messing with the unique identity and personhood of Jesus.

Actually, it concerns your answer of yes or no. The point is that in this world, there are probabilities, not just simple yes or no.

Are there probabilities in the real world or is everything just yes or no?
He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:18

Sure, but that's irrelevant to my question. Can you stay focused on the question at hand?

Are there probabilities in the real world or is everything just yes or no? Does probability exist? Perhaps you have trouble with the concept of probability. Am I right? You need to face this reality if you are having trouble with it. Avoiding the reality is not healthy. At least not mentally.

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, Rom 8:1

You're undoubtedly confused in your darkened analytical mind, separated from Christ. Eph 4:17-18

Avoiding reality is not the way to go, brother. Are there probabilities in the real world or is everything just yes or no? Does probability exist? Perhaps you have trouble with the concept of probability. Am I right? You need to face this reality if you are having trouble with it. Avoiding the reality is not healthy. At least not mentally. This is the 10th time I am asking. So far, you have not answer a simple question:

Does probability exist?
