• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I will pray for you and your family as best I can.
Please know that even though you and I don't really know each other, I have seen all the good you convey on this forum, and am honored to be able to help in some small way, even if only through prayers.

Dear Friends

Today we saw another surgeon and his considered opinion is that Rob should have had treatment ages ago. He is going to have a case conference with other specialists and Rob will go back for another appointment in June. It would appear that the tumour is now thought to be too big for radiosurgery treatment and the only other option is surgery. We are very saddened by this, but we are confident that the Lord has led us to a very experienced dr and we feel that we can trust him.

Thank you so much for your prayers and I do humbly ask for your continued prayers as we continue to have other family concerns that are a cause of deep distress to us at the present.

Love and blessings to you all

Ley

I am lifting this up to the Lord now, and I will continue to pray.

Ask.... and it shall be given unto you

Lord, we pray for our Sister Leytonstones and her husband Rob
We pray that you will move in their support
regarding Rob's illness and his recovery
We pray that you bring good resolution
to the familial difficulties that also trouble them
Firstly, in the short term and then, for, inspired handling
of, unavoidable lifestyles, to the benefit
of, those most-affected
We, join together to pray for your mercy and loving kindness
for those whom need it now, so much
amen

This is my 1000th post and I thought long and hard about making it special in some way. I keep seeing some of the threads that were started 'way back when', even some in recent times, by wonderful people that just don't post anymore, for whatever reasons. One in particular is Mother of Promise, or Prom as we all affectionately called her. This woman was the maker of peace here. Nothing was beyond her wisdom or kindness. She personally got me through some really tough times, and never ever did she complain herself.
I have emailed her many times but there is no response. So I guess on this, my 1000th post, I would like everyone who knew her, and even those who didn't, to pray that she is safe somewhere, even (and I guess espescially) if it is in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. I know she had at least one daughter that lived with her. I hope her daughter is safe and out of harms way, too.
Please offer up a silent prayer for our dear, sweet Prom, wherever she is now.
Thanks, friends
:)

Prayers for your daughters Val.

"If you raise them up in the way they should go they will not depart from it".
One of God's promisses to us:)

I'm still waiting for that to kick in with my kids. The oldest, John, is 39 and lives with his girlfriend and I've raised his son for the last 4 years. The youngest one doesn't work and lives with his mom and his girlfriend rooms with him. The only one with promises is the middle one with the twins. He's responsible and is a good dad. Oldest and youngest are seperated from their wives and the middle is dovorced. Pray for them.....PLEASE!
To raise a child in Yahweh's Plan (the way he should go) in the united states is literally NOT ALLOWED - NOT LEGAL..
...so much for being a 'chstian' country.
..
I guess that means "PRAY" and KEEP ON PRAYING all day every day
desperately for all the children you know and all the children you don't know as Yahweh gives utterance or groaning inside without words
(the pain is unspeakably
unbearable in
the flesh, no one would survive if not for AMAZING GRACE !)

Nonsense like "cottage cheese and flax " can heal a brain-tumor (or other cancering) ,
obviously you are not involved in helping people, from such suffering, Heal. I have, as are others.
Are you interested in successfully participating in GOD's work? :)

I don't remember PROM but I do pray that she is ok and being blessed by our wonderful God.
I pray also for Rob and Ley
And for Radidios family. It is hard when we have to let them go and they make mistakes and turn from the only one who can really give them peace and love.
I have two of my four sons that love God . One other claims to be a Christian but is not too committed to fellowship wth other believers at the moment . and the other Hmmmmm unemployed co dependent and undereducated. Nice looking talented but totally unmotivated and has no life. I pray daily for each one. Jan

I am sorry that I didn't know her, Claire. She must have been an awesome person.

I will pray for her and her daughter today.

Would you pray for me please? For some reason I have been hit by grief for the loss of my parents, although they died some years ago. It's tearing me to shreds and I feel as if I am walking through a nightmare.

Thank you and God bless you all. :)
