  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My oldest granddaughter (age 13) , Waiverly, rolled a four wheeler and broke one bone in her upper arm in three places Sunday. They pull her in a temporary support in the emergency room. Today the bone doctor put her in a cast, but seemed to believe that it would be a go. Keep her in you prayers in any case. Thanks!

Prayers for all of our prayer requests :prayer:

Asking for a prayer for me, too! Had a really miserable day at work. Nothing earth shattering, but really disappointing. Need some prayers of comfort. I am sad tonight. Thanks, Golden Eagle friends.

While work can be ennobling, it can also be a chore or drudgery,
and can dehumanise us.
For the most part, I would suggest, we do not experience work
as something that flows from us spontaneously,
but rather as something imposed on us.
Today, houses are often far removed from places of work,
separated by one or more hours of heavy traffic.
It's not easy for today's Christian to find God in her/his work.
For the vast majority work is impersonal
- it is repetitive, boring, monotonous.
Those who work on the factory line rarely see the finished product.
"Work was the daily expression of love in the life of the Family of Nazareth."
(Guardian of the Redeemer - Apostolic Exhortation of John Paul II).

Yesterday was a bit rough. Had to be at emergency again with my son. It was a recurrance of the problem we had 2 months ago (Urinary bleeding) His specialist put an indwelling catheter back in and did some stretching of some scarred areas so hopefully once everything is removed in a week it will be easier for him to manage his self care. He handled it much better than last time as he knew what to expect. It was still 4 1/2 hours though. I had to miss work an as it was a last minute thing they couldn't replace me. i always feel bad when that happens. He stayed with gramma today but I shall stay home wiht him tomorrow as it is a Pro D day no students. Jan

I am also pleased, that there is also 'LIGHT'
at the end of this 'tunnel' in both of, your lives

Yes, experience gives hindsight
and so, there is, less UNKNOWN.. to cause unnecessary-anxiety [?]
Discomfort, is also challenged, by applied-calm and acceptance
That, young man, has been making his transition
from boy to man
with experience that others will never 'see'

I will hold you both in my prayers Sis'

Have a good rest tonight [for tomorrow]

your Bro'

Thanks for the prayers. His temp was up to over 102 last night but is down a bit this am. I am waiting to see if the urine sample taken is infected.

I prayed for baby that God would cradle herand cushion her. as nerve endings are so fragile and also protect her eyes from any ill effects of the O2 treatments. I read a beautiful testimony about a premie that developed and grew and as a 6 or 7 year old actually had memories of God during the premie time. Fantastic I know but it was a believable one and documented. Wish I could find it now. Praying also for renewed strength and continued healing for Grandpa. (Annies friend) Jan
