There was a newstory today that the flu shots slightlly increase the risk of Gullain Barre Syndrome anothe 1 or 2 per million in the 2 months after flu shots given. They still feel the risk is so slight and the benefits pretty overwhelmning so aren't advising people not to get them. My mother in law had both the flu shot and the pneumonia shot today. So we will see how she does. She is 80.

My nephew who lives in Calif. is having a pace maker put in Fri. His Mom and family is asking for prayers. He is only 45yrs. old. When he was younger they thought he had a heart mummer, then a few years back he contracted West Nile Virus. They said the cells in his heart are very sluggish and the heart is beating slower and slower. He is one of the healthiest living person I've ever known. He watches his diet and is an exercise nut!! But now his quality of life is not what he wants and after much inquiring of different doctors he has been told that this is the only way to go. So please say a prayer for him and his family(teen-age kids) and for the doctors that will be doing his surgery. Also we need to pray for salvation for all of them, they're very much into 'new' age stuff.

The whole new age thing is big here to. something called a course in miracles. I don't know how to respond to it. I pray a ton for my friends that are into it but at least they are hearing about Jesus and God.

Sorry to contradict you gg but they are hearing "Their" version of god. Their god is in everything. If you want to know what this mess is about look up A Course in Miracles on the net by M.Williamson. Please be prayed up before you look anything up on this deceitful growing non-religion. It is very dangerous because they do Quote the Bible and they do seen to be talking about our God, but they aren't.If you really want good info about this look up Christian Research Institute and read what Hank Hanegraaff(Christian) has to say. Oprah is really heavy into this junk. If you know anyone who is into this Pray pray pray for them. I am very aware about all this because a good share of my family is into this and we do talk about their beliefs and I have been witnessing to them forever. Please don't take any talk about any of this lightly it is BAD

Look up Hank H. he has the truth about that mess. If you talk with them they will make you believe they believe just like they do. You have to be so easy not to get sucked in. More than one good Christian has gotten sucked into that non-religion. Yes be praying for your friend. If you go on the net and just look up New Age you usually don't get the really stuff only what they want out there, but if you go into the site I gave you and type in new age you'll get the truth.

Well can't actually say I've "heard" him but do read his stuff and have learned a lot. His stuff is in the Christian Research Inst.

My brother and sister and I really need prayer on the next step to take as far as our mother is concerned. It is getting pretty obvious that her staying in the big house by herself is coming to an end. She is being very stubborn and will not accept any help. We are trying to get a doctor to evaluate the situation and let him be the one to tell her what has to be done now,we hope she will listen to him. But even getting her to go to him is being very stressful for her and for us. Just please,even you don't know us, keep us in your prayers for guidance for us so we can make the best decisions for the safety and welfare for our Mom. This is getting so it is soooo hard, almost harder than raising children(we know what is best for them and do it) a parent,and knowing what is best is not as cut and clear and then they don't listen and make you feel your out to get them. Just pray.

Bcauser, my feelings and prayers go out for you and yours. I have been all through it, and know how stubborn some old folk can be, including me.

It is also a tough decision for the children, but often the right decision.
