Miggs my prayers are for and with your Mom.
Well after going to the doctor with my Mom the other day and hearing his evaluation of the whole situation(he had MRI cat scan and written evaluation he was very surprised and concerned that Mom was still living by herself and also driving. He said no more driving(he said he can't enforce that but to take her in for a driving test and that would settle that). So now we have the keys and the car will be coming with me shortly. We are going to let her stay in house just for a little while longer but with all the help we can get in there, and PTL she has agreed to this. She is starting to say she can't stay here much longer(never has said that). My sister is coming out in Jan. and we will go from there. It looks like she will live in an adult assisted living home up where I live. That way I can keep and eye out and be neat her. Who would have ever thought that when they adopted me I would be the one to see my Mom through this last part of her life, not me. This is such an honor for me to be used as a help to her. They saved my life when they took me in and I am sooo pleased to be able to pay a little back. Still pray for us.

got to be so difficult. I don;t know what it is like to have parents that age. but sometimes my husband 55 sure gives me a clue

Have you been her passenger, as she drives? - Does she drive *competently*?

Is she realizing yet?, that meekly agreeing to follow you to
the doctors, only to have her Rights systematically denied, amounts to a grave mistake

Why (other than some m.d. sowing Anxiety-&-Fear-seeds inside you)
are you waiting 'til just after Christmas??, to "take (force-steal) her car".
No wonder your mom is running scared.
Be cause she knows 3 people are concerned merely about physical shells/things.

Yet, what about *her precious Soul/Mind..ie her REAL-self.* <-- which
Jesus Christ is Inviting you to *empower...* Bonnie!

he helps me *RE-develop..., and Grow... whatever...*. ~

I sure wish wholeheartedly that your own mom,
will be blessed *enjoying a helpfull companionship*, like us 2 are with each other.

Understand where you're coming from. When she "thinks" about how forgetful she is "she " admits that she should not be driving. We have told her she can drive if she takes a NY State drivers test. If she passes she can drive. So far she says no to the test, so we are holding our ground and she is not going to drive. She hasn't takes a drivers test in years. We're waiting till after Christmas because that's when my sister can come she is executer of the estate. My Mom knows she shouldn't be driving! Her MRI and brain scan proved it all.
We are doing nothing wrong only keeping her safe and other people safe.

1. our Good-friends?? (who lost all earthly-possessions in that fire), but are being helped now...
or
2. our other Couple??, struggling decisively as we speak. They're even worse off.
