CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Prayers for all whom do not receive His peace
I pray for their eyes to see His light
I pray for their ears to become deaf to Satan's temptations
I pray for their hearts to be graced by His forgiveness
and for all their shadows to become illuminated out of existence
by His everlasting light
Let none persuade you to turn away from His truth
Nobody but God... could ever make good on such a promise
amen

Lord I remember all the others...some going through life threatening trials...some just suffering from long term problems...help me...help us to see something more of who You are...satisfy us with Your goodness and thank You Lord for Your unfailing patience...

Please continue to pray for the folks in the Fargo, ND area (less than 2 hours away from me) . . they JUST got news that the crest could go even 2 feet higher now than predicted, which was already higher than ever before. The situation is definitely frightening . . .
