I have a praise report to share
My oldest son was at his staff Christmas Party on Saturday night downtown and when he came out his car had been broken into. Fortunately no window was broken or anything but they did steal his bass guitar. I have nagged him about leaving it is the car but that's another story. He was upset made to police report and came home. We arranged for a borrowed bass for worship the next day(he was leading) and it went vey well. We had kind of written the guitar off as our insurance has a $500 deductible and that is what it would cost to replace it and the case. Sigh.
Well imagine my husbands surprise when after church a chap walks in carrying a guitar and asking for Paul. I guess he was a musician working downtown and after he was done the thief had sold it to him for $13 on the street outside the club. When he saw the address of our church (along with a ton of worship sheet music) and my son's name he decided to return it. Hubby said he the guy was really nice and offered him $20 for his trouble. At first he didn't want to take it but he insisted. I had been praying that the thief would be convicted when he saw all the stuff about God. Maybe he was and that is why he let it go so cheap. Anyway we are just rejoicing here. Jan
