  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dear Family

One of, the Eagles is very unwell
Will you please join me in prayer tonight for her

Ask our Father,
to see her through this time of sickness
ask Him to support her and to heal her from very bad trials
ask Him to show her the rewards of her devotion
for I know no-one else that can do such things

We pray, today, O LORD, for anyone who is reading this
who is going through some hard times.
For those who know you not,
Father, we pray that they will come to know you, in spite of the hard times,
and that they will see this as the day in which they came to know you.
We pray for the believer, Father, the brother and sister
who may be going through a hard spot or a tough time.
We pray, LORD, that you will comfort them in the hard time,
and strengthen them, helping them to rejoice despite the pain,
and praise You, in the face of the hurt!
We pray all of this in the Saving Name of Jesus Christ, Amen…

Sleep well dear Sis

Can I please ask you to remember Rob. Trying to get a second opinion for Rob is proving to be most stressful. Apparently only a consultant can refer him for a second opinion and his consultant isn't in his office this week....

Rob is having additional neurological symptoms and is now having difficulty drinking a cup of coffee without dribbling. We know that when he was diagnosed in January of 2007 the tumour was within the bounds of treatment but the longer this goes on the fewer his treatment options will be. He is such a darling and never complains but I can't help being so worried.

Thank you to you all

We pray, today, O LORD, for those whom are
going through some hard times.

Father, we pray that they will be supported by you,
in spite of, these hard times.
We pray for the believer, Father,
the brother and sister who presently face trying circumstances.
We pray, LORD, that you will comfort them in this hard time,
and strengthen them,
helping them to rejoice in love, despite the pains
for the blessings you so lovingly dispense
and we, as-they, praise You, in the face of the trials.
We pray all of this
in the Name of your Son, our-Saviour, Jesus Christ
Amen…

Ley

Ley, I am holding both of you in prayer.

May God's comfort and peace be upon you.

Father, touch Rob. Let the blood of Jesus cover Ley and Rob, and let Your hedge of protection be around them. Let all sin be covered and forgiven, 1 Peter 1:2; Job 1:5, 10; Ps. 66:18; 1 John 1:9, Daniel 9:20.

In the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, I declare that every attack of the enemy is broken now, and that all the power of the enemy against them is null and void, dust and chaff with the glory of God sweeping it away. I declare in Jesus' name that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and nothing by any means shall harm them. I declare that every lie against them is broken, Is. 54:17; Luke 10:19; Ps. 63:9-11; Ps. 83:13.

Father, bless them. Let Your face shine upon them and bless them. Father, thank You that when Jesus took those 39 stripes, He also took our diseases.

[bible]1 Peter 2:24[/bible]

Father, let this be so. Touch Rob's body with the resurrection power of the Lord Jesus Christ. Father, restore, heal, deliver. We cry out to You in Jesus' name.

Ley, my son has been working on an anti-tumor drug. It is now in it's final trial (3rd) stages for FDA approval. (He works for Glaxo Smith Kline near Philadelphia)

Finding a cure is something that has been on my heart for years. I never thought the Lord would use my son, but here it is. He didn't invent it, but my son has been helpful in getting it through the trials more quickly and also in manufacturing it.

I've been praying for this drug and others like it to get through the trials fast. So many need these newer treatments.

Amen to the prayers in the posts below mine.
Please Lord heal our dear sick eagle sister.:prayer:

Lord please hold Rob in the palm of your hand and guide him and Ley to find the resources they need. Give his doctors the knowledge to know the best course of treatment. Give them peace during this difficult time and make your presence known. Amen:prayer:

Subject: 5 Finger Prayer

Five Finger Prayer

5fingerprayer1.jpg

This is so neat.
I had never heard this before.
This is beautiful - and it is surely worth making the 5 finger prayer
a part of our lives.

1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a "sweet duty."

2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.

3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God's guidance.

4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is our weakest finger, as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.

5. And lastly comes our little finger- the smallest finger of all which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says, "The least shall be the greatest among you." Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively.

If you decide to send this to a friend, you might brighten someone's day!

Pass this on to someone special... I did.

I have, seen this before
but, cannot be certain
whether I posted it here or not, because my GE History
doesn't extend back to when I joined the Golden Eagles
Indeed, it only goes back for the LAST 200 posts, or so
