My very good friend is in the hospital. She went to the emergency room on Sunday and is in ICU. If you are moved to do so please say a prayer that they discover what is wrong and she is home with her family soon. Thank-you, Keep

Thank-you Clairefish, Springrain, Ariel, Buttercup for your prayers and those of you who sent your good thoughts because God does answer prayer. She is much better and after a few more tests today she will be going home (if the tests are ok). It was a combination of asthma and allergies, it decreased her oxygen levels so much that it affected her heart. She is doing much better. Hugs to you all that posted or sent PM's and said a prayer.

Ariel, how is your daughter in law doing with the pregnancy?

They put in a TPN line (Total Parenteral Nutrition, I think). She is doing better--gaining nutrition from the line. The nausea is decreasing as her blood sugar normalizes. Apparently she was in ketosis, and this caused the nausea as well as the hormones.

I'm going to call my son later today and see how things are going.
