  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I realize this place is dropping out of usage. It’s a great pity, and even a loss.
But I’m still where I am, I guess I still have a few years left to try to run this race and fight the good fight, though I feel that I am totally losing. Anyway, things are not going well. I have sent out quite a few resumes and applications, both locally and for online work, and no one’s biting. If I don’t find something over the next month, it will mean complete ruin.
I also read on a local news FB page that they will be introducing visas for Russians in the fall, which will put us in an impossible situation regarding grandmother.
I have no idea how I would get our car out of this country, surrounded by sanctions. We are a really bad place, prayers appreciated, if anyone is still here.

(I am not Eastern Orthodox), can anyone, out of charity, please pray for the soul of Sister Anna, an elderly Catholic religious sister, who recently died?

She was a woman of deep faith, and had an immense love for Sacred Scripture.
