CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Two members of our Community are in need of prayers
Tasiia is in hospital with high temperatures and has been unconscious for two days , she is known to have cancer

I need to jump start a business in order to survive and feed my family, teaching small private groups. I’d like to ask for prayers.
Also, my son is taking tests to get accepted into a German university. We left Russia in part to keep him out of the meat grinder, but he has no opportunities here at all, for employment or education. We spent hundreds of euros we could ill afford to get him to a set of tests there, but he has already received a rejection notice (it’s highly competitive). There are a couple more opportunities over the next month at other places.

Dear Jesus, we thank You for giving us Your foster father, St. Joseph, as an example of a holy worker. Help us to imitate all of his virtues, particularly his humble spirit of diligence in work.
St. Joseph, you worked as a carpenter for many years of your life. You know the importance of a good job through which we can support ourselves and our families in our world today. Many people suffer a lot as the result of losing their jobs, and they are in great need of assistance as they search for a new job.
Please bring our prayers for employment before God, and pray today especially for those who have been laid off from their jobs!
Pray that we may imitate your many virtues in our lives. Help us through your prayers to become holy servants of God.

I’d like to ask for prayers again. Really dark places. My son’s failures to get accepted into university, despite all our efforts and what little money we had poured into it; my wife is now under attack as well.
