CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I know your pain. I've lost many friends in my life from horrible untimely deaths. Last year I had to help my oldest daughter through the loss of her best friend. He was killed in a car accident. They were so close, even went to homecoming together. It was and still is at times hard for her especially when she hears the song, "I can only Imagine" which was his fav and played at his funeral.

JLynn; that must have been incredibly painful for your daughter and for you, too. Sounds like he is with the Lord, and that's a blessing~~Thank you for your offer. I do have some CF friends who knew my friend, too. We have a spot where we are talking about him and his contributions to our lives.

I've recently been diagnosed with multiple myeloma (a plasma cell cancer). Fortunately, it appears to be early staging - but the treatment (and probably the myeloma) is making me pretty fatigued, plus I'm having back pain from a lesion caused by the myeloma.
If you would be so good - please pray that God continues to give me the strength to deal with the path He has laid out for me. I know that He has a perfect plan for me.
