I need prayer concerning decisions for my future. I am almost done with my classes and do not know yet which avenue I should take - grad school [and which program], which ministry avenue I should take [chaplaincy, regular senior pastor or something else].

Thanks. I need to discuss this more with my pastor next week but right now I am feeling led to do something officially with "Pastor of counseling and recovery ministries" or "Minister of Pastoral Care". It would be a created position at my church so would become whatever my pastor and I wanted it to be. I'm not sure it would all work out and if I should/could get a Masters in Counseling.

I need prayer for discernment and peace. I haven't worked at a full time job in 12 years. God has done a lot of healing of migraines but I am not 100% yet. I got two job offers today to work at a Christian company. I don't know if I have the stamina for them or not. While I may not get migraines as much, that doesn't mean I am free of them either. If I am stressed out, it often triggers them.

I need prayer for discernment and peace. I haven't worked at a full time job in 12 years. God has done a lot of healing of migraines but I am not 100% yet. I got two job offers today to work at a Christian company. I don't know if I have the stamina for them or not. While I may not get migraines as much, that doesn't mean I am free of them either. If I am stressed out, it often triggers them.

Currently awake and taking care of ill granddaughter throwing up all night since 2 AM. It is now 3:50 AM. My wife just finished chemotherapy and is in a compromised immune system status. So, I am the caregiver for both. One at one end of the apartment, one at the other end, lots of Lysol spray between them. Lots of hand sanitizer and hand washing on my part.

Please join me in prayer that GOD protects my wife from the illness in my granddaughter now and that He heals all in the house from any disease that is present.

It is supposed to be in the upper 50s-low 60s F in this part of Germany today. I will stay home from work and open the windows to air out the apartment.

I made the mistake of going into the General Theology Forum threads and find that Baptists really-REALLY anoy me. Especially those in their early 20s that already have all the answers to all of life's most important questions.

I know better than to go there and get into discussions that start out congenial and end up being disruptive the the peace in the Body of Christ. I so know better.

My aunt Joy needs prayer. She will be 71 soon. She has been ill this summer with bronchitis, diverticulitis and now has an enlarged spleen and some enlarged abdominal lymph nodes, along with some irregular white cell production. She had more bloodwork today to see if this abnormal activity is still going on or was related to her last infection. Although it could be a type of leukemia or lymphoma, the doctor said he's not convinced it's either one. Next week she and my cousin Karen will visit the doctor to see what these more specialized tests show.

The part that really upsets me is my uncle Manly. He is a professing Christian but one that has gotten quite selfish and lazy. He expects my aunt to wait on him hand and foot. My aunt is too frail to take care of her self this summer and will say so. My cousin has had constant arguments with her dad this summer over his rotten treatment of her mom. He refuses to accept what my cousin says...and then while she is there will try to boss her around, too, expecting my cousin to do things that he is perfectly able to do.

I don't know if he was always like this or not. Whenever I visited in the past he was always too busy with his farm to interact much for me to notice. I suspect it is a case of he wasn't bad as this and just crept up over the years with no one to confront him about his poor behavior. I want to shake him over and over while asking "Don't you know how precious she is?????? Treat her like the Queen she is!"

Pray for my cousins when they confront their dad over his behavior, for him not to be selfish, and my aunt's health and healing. I haven't really recovered from her sister's death 6 years ago. I am not ready for her to die or be seriously ill, too.
