CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Lord have mercy. Praying for the family. 
I would like to ask everyone's prayers for my Grandmother. She's been in the hospital since Thursday. The doctors still aren't sure what is wrong with her (outside of her existing health issues).

My aunt may have had a stroke. I am not over the last aunt's stroke [she died in 06] so I am really not prepared for this.

I drove out to Indy to visit her last week. If you didn't know her, you would notice much of a difference. But for those who do, it is obvious. She sits down to chat, as opposed to running all over expecting the <70 aged crowd to keep up with her. She also has to pause to rememeber words instead of rattling them off lickety split. Other people [myself even] have to pause to remember aleady known words and we haven't had strokes.
So, I feel better having seen her. But her lifestyle hasn't changed any
And having one stroke only increased her chances of having another one. So, I need to write her about that.

Yesterday my 2nd eldest daughter's father-in-law died. Please lift the Langley family up in prayer.
My wife just had her 3rd of 6 chemotherapies.
Tomorrow I go in for major shoulder surgery at 0700 European Central Time.
Our eldest daughter is here to help us for the next few weeks.
This has been a challenging year for our family.
Prayer support is much appreciated.

My boyfriend Steve finally received an offer on his house, and has accepted. Waiting for their financing and home inspection. Really need this to happen.
