And also it really upset me because... well... I am a part of the LGBT. *becomes instantaneously hated by most of the people on here.* just kidding... I hope...

Not true, apparently they only hate the "sin" that is happening to dwell within you.

To be completely honest, hard times.

That sounds like a bad reason to go back, but I think it's best I did, because as an atheist I wasn't very open-minded, and now I've become a much more open-minded person, I think.

Ah, look at the institution the man you quoted founded has led the world.
A man to quote indeed.
It most certainly has not led the world and no one has even proven that Jesus was anything more than a man.

I asked you a very SIMPLE question.
Simple or complex, your question wasn't regarding the Pope's remarks. It was about me, personally.

There was no malicious intent
I never claimed there was. So, we'll just chalk that up as another red herring tactic.

it was merely for your opinion
You get my opinion in every post I make. If you disagree with any of my opinions, all you have to do is state why, and leave any personal remarks out of it. It's really simple. It goes like this - "I disagree, and here's why......" See how easy that was?

Forgive me.
You are forgiven.

(others can spot what just transpired here)

And what business do you have in telling anyone how a Christian is supposed to act?
I'm not telling anyone how to act. I do desire basic decency, respect, and civility in these discussions, however. But that's just a request. You can go on acting any way you want. As I said in another thread - there are jerks who happen to be non-Christians, and there are jerks who happen to be Christians. Being a Christian doesn't exempt someone from being a jerk.

You know nothing of it.
You know nothing of me, and that statement proves it. So, give it a rest before you find yourself in an even more embarrassing situation from which you'll have to save face. Leave it alone while you're ahead.

Your statement that "just because someone is a Christian, doesn't automatically mean they take the moral high road" proves that much.
I stand behind that statement as fully true and accurate. You're just one example proving it true.

What, this?
Marx actually had great respect for religion. It's clear that you have never read him.
He obviously didn't want it around.

a different topic though, best we stop this before someone puts on a mod hat.

I already tried this line. I am yet to receive a response for it.

Correction.
I got a reply via CF IM by a Christian that gave me reps for my post.
It's nice to see it.
Apparently, not all Christians agree with the "Bible is the Word of God" thing.
Apparently, SOME Christians actually understand what the Bible is and is not.

Refreshing, actually.

Just thought you should know.

As soon as you start restricting the internet, you go on a slippery slope toward eliminating the last(and first?) completely free forum for opinions in the world.
Best if we don't advocate the ACLU telling people what to do on the internet.

Ummm... you're not that familiar with that the ACLU does, are you?

The only restricting that is going on comes from the CF owners/managers.

Ah, look at the institution the man you quoted founded has led the world.
Which institution would that be?

A man to quote indeed.
If you want to make an argument you´d better address the quote instead of attacking the person quoted.
