It seems that constant attack on anything entrenches the thing under attack; this hardly lends to the sort of conditions where re-evaluation can occur. Any true inspection seems to require time, peace, and love. Adrenalin runs (on both sides) seem counterproductive.

The point that you people try to make is that the entire doctrine of the papacy hinges on and/or was created due to this forged document. This could not be further from the truth. In order for these claims to be true, then the papacy and all evidence of a Petrine Primacy and succession of such must come after 750 – 850 A.D. The following evidence shows that such teachings came earlier and totally discredit anyone who would hold that the "Donation of Constantine" is the basis for the papacy.

The Donation of Constantine written in the first place Was notto shore up the papacy. No, on the contrary, it was to "support the local bishops against their metropolitans and other authorities, so as to secure absolute impunity and the exclusion of all influence of the secular power." (Dollinger, qtd ).

Look at the spurious nature of the exagerrated accusation.
First of all, it avoids responsibility by naming the alleged perpetrator "you people". If this was a discussion of race, that phrase would be too obvious to slip by.
Second of all, it deflects attention away from all the other critical analysis of all the other back-engineered & convoluted vanities that created that office. The same lame complaint can be & has been used on every other criticism of it.

I would have to read it in context. I've seen protestants say all kinds of whacky things that make sense to them

But I can say this: As keeper of the keys, his jurisdiction is over the entire Church, in heaven, on earth, and in Purgatory. And He does represent Christ the King. So if I really stretch it, I could say that I believe the statement, although I would have worded it differently myself.

Most of those citations have nothing to do with the Bishop of Rome's arrogant claims, and the last statement is nonsense. The Donation of Constantine most certainly was forged by the Roman Church to aggrandize the papacy.

It's still a leap to say that any one of those quotes support the 'Papacy'. Some of those quotes could even be said to refute the idea of the papacy as Rome sees it. Furthermore, Rome is not even the only church established by St. Peter - the church of Antioch was also established by St. Peter, and he was the first Bishop there.

Simply that we live physically within the timeline of human history. The crucifixion of Christ is in the past, his position with the Father in heaven the present. For us, physically.

God however is not contained within time, for it too is part of his creation. When you say 'now' in terms of the spiritual reality of God, the crucifixion of Christ is as present now as it always has been, as is the day he laid the foundation for the earth, and is the last day the earth will exist. Always present.

So the question becomes, where do you worship? Within the physical confines of human history, or within the eternal now of God?

If you worship within the physical confines of human history, you have no access to the resurrection either. Over and done. Occurred over 2000 years ago.

If you worship within the eternal now of God, who is always present at both the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ, then you also become always present in spirit to both events. One does not 'outweigh' the other. One is not 'ignored' over the other. Both are always present in the eternal now of God.

Rev. 1:18 I [am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Christ Jesus retains the keys per Revelation (twice so it says).

Yes, and my preference is and always will be the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Of course what else can you expect from those that follow men and their institutions. They will talk about what is dear to their heart.
