I’d like to think it would go down but the reality is that the people who want to like him will find a way to excuse it all away. There was nothing flattering in that report, but we will hear excuse after excuse about why it doesn’t matter, despite the fact that if such a report were released about Obama, they’d lose their minds.

The report on not flattering if you at least read the summary. I think many people have already made up their mind and will not even do that.

I truly don't think the polls are indicitive of anything aside from whatever the organization conducting them wants them to show.. That being said, I doubt many people will change their opinions on Trump because of the report being released. People who supported him before are saying it exonerates him, and people who didn't support him before are saying it enforces the fact that he ought to be impeached.

He’s bulletproof. The only way he can lose in 2020 is if the economy tanks, and it seems to have enough mojo to keep going till then.

It won’t change anything for the 35-40% who hold their noses and block their ears and cover their eyes...

After all..

• paid off mistresses and violated campaign finance laws
• locked up children in cages
• gave 83% of his tax cut to his wealthy mates
• clearly attempted to obstruct Mueller’s investigation
• hasn’t built a foot of promised wall on the southern border
• lies constantly

If they’re prepared to ignore these and many more, his numbers won’t change much...

The president's poll numbers have been slowly rising for some time now, and my guess is that they may rise a little further -- but not dramatically so. Some of the impact of the Mueller report has already been factored in, beginning days ago with the news that the report was going to exonerate the president of being involved in any Russian Collusion.

Do you ever stop and think quite how destructive that way of thinking is? So all politicians are liars, yep thats true. But you think one politician telling an exaggeration (or even a downright falsehood) about a policy is the same as another who tells a hundred lies a day about literally anything and everything?

You're basically saying 'All politicians are untrustworthy, so whats the point of holding them to account. Let them do what they want'. How about instead of that we hold all politicians account for EVERY lie they tell. Clinton told plenty, Obama told less but still some, and both deserved to be called out each time (and were by plenty of people on both sides). So why does Trump suddenly get a free pass?

He has very little chance in 2020 unless he can successfully drag down the Dem nominee with enough smears. His polling numbers in the states he actually needs to win again make for horrible reading for Republicans. The rust belt has turned against him massively.

He's not trying to keep the economy going through "mojo." Instead, it's called stacking the Federal Reserve with those who want to abolish the IRS and corporate taxes and will keep interest rates down (courting inflation) for the sole purpose of artificially manipulating the stock market.

You understand that if people are appointed who want to raise interest rates, that is still done for the purpose of manipulating the market? That is what the Fed does.
