If homosexuality was really a sin, it would be written in stone.

So, worst case scenario: God doesn't like homosexuality, but God will forgive us for misinterpreting the Bible's ambiguous text regarding this matter.
I don't think anyone here ever said "the commandments don't apply to us"
Of course, there is no commandment against homosexuality, so theres no problem.
I disagree, I believe the best way to love God is by following the second greatest commandment... you know, the one about loving and accepting people? So now you say we are to follow the commandments only? The first and greatest commandment is to love God with all your heart mind and spirit. By doing this, if you love God you love and obey His rules, not pick them apart at your liking. (and disbelieve the parts you don't agree with, for that matter)

Remember, the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath
No, I just said... The way to follow the first IS TO FOLLOW THE SECOND... THAT brings Glory to God, pleases God, and demonstrates a love of God... far more than literalist, legalist, blind adherence to irrelevant tribal doctrine ever will.So you forsake the first and greatest commandment for the second? This is the reason why it is first, because God comes first, before everything, ourselves, our families, our friends, everything. Please God, then please people.

Give me the exact words of the first commandment again? No, the way to follow the first is to follow the first, in doing so the second will be followed as well, but it still comes second. And to make God subjective to human reasoning is weak, at best.
37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment.Give me the exact words of the first commandment again?
dogma has nothing to do with this. It's about choosing to disobey God and choosing your own desires first.Where does it say blind obedience to OT dogma is the best way to fulfil it?
Wrong. The bible is clear about how God feels about it, the ambiguity comes from you trying to comprehend WHY God doesn't like it.
Those are Old Testament laws that were abolished by the New Covenant. Homosexuality is condemned in both the Old and New Testaments. And eating shellfish, wearing mixed fibers, working on the sabbath, slavery, etc...?
really? where? Those are Old Testament laws that were abolished by the New Covenant. Homosexuality is condemned in both the Old and New Testaments.
Sorry, I don't see "unquestioning obedience to OT dogma" as part of those 2 great commandments. Am I reading it wrong?37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment.
39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Perhaps you should do some personal study on such things before you come to debate them.

Christ healed and ate on the sabbath, those are 2 things in regards to sustaining life. Healing someone's illness is a greater testimony to God than keeping His sabbath day.
really? where?
Oh, right... in your translation of Paul's letter.
Not like, by JESUS or anything?

Paul was someone who never even MET Jesus, he was just someone with his own agenda and prejudices. His own, personal opinions are just that, opinions, and he has no credibility to dictate doctrine.
In your interpretation. Not in everyone's.Those are Old Testament laws that were abolished by the New Covenant. Homosexuality is condemned in both the Old and New Testaments.
I don't believe Paul was commissioned by Jesus. I think he commissioned himself. I am not a Paul follower, and Paul did not speak for Jesus. If you don't believe that Paul was commissioned by Christ after his conversion, then you are calling him a liar and you must also disregard any of paul's writings, which make up 13 letters of the NT.
