  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm a traveling nurse,so I only have a certain time limit to get to my clients house,so my pet peeve is the traffic is either too slow,or there is a semi truck who doesn't know when to turn or even a snow plow in the winter,it just urkes me.(and then my cell is ringing & in NY, we get a ticket 4 being on the phone in our cars. Can't win)

Just wanted to share a moment of "justice," praise God. Since we all have peeves that discourage us, I thought it might be nice to share an encouragement that the Lord *is* at work.

Well, I was trying to get people at work to help with a department-wide project last week. One guy did half of one task, then didn't bother to finish it. Another woman, even when specifically asked, helped for a little while then sat down at her desk. I asked again. She helped a little, then left a mess.

So guess what? Now my boss has put them IN CHARGE of the departmental project. Woo-hoo! I can't help but think that, had they acted rightly in the first place, it wouldn't have come to this. Reaping what they sowed.

All of the waitresses at a local family restaurant wear extremely short skirts and shirts with plunging necklines. (If you get my drift.) I feel like I need to cover my kids' eyes when we're waited on.

Put some decent clothes on!

I hate this too, exspecially since my son is 16,come on,I'm bringing a quilt next time to throw over her next time we go there.

Sorry, ODAAT, but this made me chuckle. :D There is NOTHING like Mom's cooking no matter what your age.

The next time she does this tell her you would like her to take you out to dinner, then proceed to order the lobster. ^_^

No problem for the laughing :D! We just shook our head like "WHAT?". My husband was like where did she come from?!! So it is pretty funny--in a pet peevish sort of way.
Oh and she used to work at Red Lobster---and she did take us out and let us order whatever we wanted!! Yea!! It was good!
