When someone texts you a joke but it sounds like something is really wrong...so it scares you. (especially later at night!!)

When other people are aggressive about protecting their boundaries but have no problem walking all over yours.

When a friend of mine claims to be so open-minded, but when confronted with exactly the situation she espouses, she reacts narrowmindedly -- and without any acknowledgment that she had earlier self-righteously advocated for exactly the opposite.

Exactly!! I can't stand that either--I guess we can be peeved together!!

How about when someone attacks your discernment in a spiritual matter--that they have no idea what they are even talking about!

"Christians" that tell others they can think positively out of difficult situations...there is a word for that...it is called "denial".

When you give your undivided attention to someone while they talk, then when it is your turn, they constantly interrupt you to bring the attention back to themselves.

When you are told by someone who doesn't even know you that your physical problem is just you not being spiritual and giving it over to God!

PP: People who just blurt out whatever comes to mind, not caring whether it's truthful or not and being unconcerned with whether it hurts the other person.

People who do whatever they want without thought of those around them. "If they don't like it -it is their problem." What happened to being courteous and gracious?

I don't know ... seems like we live in a mighty self-centered society...

ETA: This is not a peeve, but I wanted to admit that I'm feeling jealous of somebody right now. I won't go into details, but let's just say it's along the lines of someone having a faster car, or a better kitchen appliance, or a sewing machine with more features on it, such that she could do a better job than me. Fortunately, "this too shall pass." (Is that from the Bible, btw?)

When my co-workers don't try to figure out things for themselves and keep trying to get me to walk them through every step. I understand fear, but if you don't try, you'll never do.

PP: When people actively reject your kind gesture, such as paying for their birthday meal. They turn a beautiful thing into something painful and discouraging.
