I am generally pro vaccination, my kids had all the very needed ones like diphtheria, whooping cough, polio and the MMR. I have a son on the spectrum and no I do not believe vaccinations cause autism. If you go on an autism board for parents you will find 99% of parents feel this way. Only occasionally will someone come in claiming the MMR caused their child's autism. So first lets not generalize because we all know generalizations are going to be wrong. People are complex and they don't always follow those neat paths.
So yes I am against wide spread push of the COVID vaccination.
Point one because I do not believe it has been tested enough. At the start of this pandemic you will find experts saying 3-5 years for a vaccine, the fact it is not even been 2 years is concerning. I think it should still be under trial with only the young and healthy (and non pregnant) taking it.
Point 2 is I watched a a very interesting video by one of the experts some months back -which is no longer there. So no I can't show any evidence but she raised some good and concerning points. Which goes back to point one, I think more trials are needed.
Point 3 is personal. One of my friends just took it and had severe side effects. Nausea, dizziness, heart palpitations and trouble breathing. The breathing issue was very scary. She is someone who is not young or healthy but she felt pushed to get it anyway due to her job. That should not be a thing. People should not be under pressure or coercion.
For me also as someone who isn't young or healthy, there is enough of a concern for me to be against it right now. I may change my view at some later point but for now I won't be taking it.
"Yes, vaccines can cause harm, but then again, so can getting out of the bath."
That depends on the person and their own individual risk factors. If you are young and limber your risk factor for getting out of the bath is close to zero. If you are older and frail your risk goes up.
