Who's looking forward to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows tomorrow? I know I am.
I unfortunately stumbled across someone who claimed to have the book early, and spoiled the ending. All I can say is, I hope he was wrong.
I heard there were several conflicting books on the internet, though the source of this information did not reveal any of the conflicting endings. LOL.
I am content to wait for the real book to arrive at our front door.
Wouldn't it be cool if there were really several endings written, sort of like that movie "Clue".
That sounds like a good idea to me. Especially when one considers that the thread started before the LDS subforum was created, and that Swart's suggestion for a thread name, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, won the vote! Why don't we just move in the original fellowship thread, and then this one can be merged with it?
I can do it. No sense in having two of them in the main outer forum, anyway.
Well, I just finished the book (kept myself offline for two days so I could do so, when not at work). There's no rape. There's a part that sounds like it could be, but since it involves 4 children, it's just a beating.I could be WAY off base (I get my news from ytmnd), but I heard... (heard, mind you), that the author of the Harry Potter series is going to include a rape in her latest installment. Is that true?
Don't worry, I won't spoil the ending.PLEASE don't post Harry Potter and The Deathy Hallows spoilers on here. For those of us still reading the book, such spoilers are considered very frustrating. Thanks!
Agreed-but I also think that the ending makes up for it. All in all, not her best, but when the series is taken as a whole-simply marvelous!I've about 100 pages left in the book, and I agree with most of your review. I find the writing not up to her usual standards, and I find many parts of the book to drag in between action sequences. I'm also quite displeased with the location, or rather the lack of location, in which most of the book takes place. The previous six had a sense of magic and continuity due to the location in which most of the stories occurred.
Well incase anyone noticed Ive been gon for about a month. I finally did it, I finished Air Force ROTC Field Training. Bascially its basic training for officers in the AF. 30 Days of one big mind game.
I wouldn't worry about it if it happened to me. Some people are just like that.I had a weird conclusion to my day.
There was alot of commotion at work over a new waitress, particularly over her sexuality, because of the way she supposedly carried herself. I, being somewhat of a nice guy decided to talk to her while she was on a smoke/rest break and I was already on a 30-min. meal break anyway.
Well anywho, she seemed so surprised and/or relieved that someone talked to her that she surprised me with a hug at closing time.
Normally I wouldn't mind a hug but this one seemed to weird me out. I really didn't feel like it was appropriate (not nessecarly because we work together, I'm her boss, or that she's a girl) but because of how little we knew each other platonicly.
I'm really not sure what to think. Maybe she really had a bad day getting along with everyone else, I don't know. I just feel weirded out by it.
Hi everyone. As some of you know, I was a Mormon for a short time and officially converted to Mormonism. Well, I left but I am now considering coming back again. Just need to get some of my doubts figured out first.
You want abnormal? I am from the planet Zort. I was converted by moonmen. I am caffeinated most of the day. I talk to myself and have a fetish for posting. I served a mission in Birdseye, Utah and I have survived a hike naked up Everest.I am a life long Mormon, and I had my doubts, at about 24 like you. It got painful at times. It's normal, ... but that presumes I am normal.
