wow, tuesdays are really boring! FHE is on Mondays and Institute is on Wednesdays here, and I'm stuck with my only day off from work on a slow night. :sigh:
I feel your pain, brother. At least next week, I change shifts, so instead of working 0730-1600, I'll be working 1530-2400. So, instead of boring nights, I'll have boring days! yeah, change of pace!!!

Thanks for visiting, Nehi! Let me tell you a bit about my daughter.

She is 15 (ALMOST 16 ;) ). She does goth. It really bothered me a bit when it started (you know that whole judgmental scene that goes with things like this :( ), she was real moody, and I felt we were drawing apart. That was about a year and a half ago. But since then, things have mellowed a bit, and I can look deeper into who she is. She is in 10th grade and is taking AP classes in school, and doing very well with them. She takes karate and will be moving up to black belt later this year, and she plays the cello (this is the thing about her that lets me know that everything is going to be OK.) She plays well, and has been encouraged to pursue it professionally. She is in three orchestras in school, and one of the orchestras just recently won a regional competition.

I think things are going to be OK with her, but I was worried for a while.

Thanks for letting me share. :)
it was an interesting site recently when i went to my kids high school which is in our town which is kind of a small horse town in southern california so not the gang problems and that kind of stuff so much.

i was surprised by the lack of color.

looked like a sea of grey, black and white. wierd.

Lol ya. Old battlestar galctica nut.
Not the new one.
one of my professors(ron dyas-arrogant jerk that he was) in college knew larson(who, i suppose you know, was lds) anyway, the writers came in and talked to our class about the show(tells you when i was in college--the "old" one--that's painful) about problems the show had and so forth and i think they addressed stuff like how to get scripts sold in hollywood and that kind of thing.

about the only thing i remember was that they had a problem with the cylons because they were dufusses who couldn't shoot and there was something about the robots that got killed were machines and there was no emotional connection created.

obviously it's been a while.
