This is a no debate thread. It is for fellowship with LDS only. Keep doctrinal stuff out. I will be ignoring debates on this thread. You can post, but I can ignore if it is not in the spirit of harmony. I hereby invoke the NO DEBATE Rule as the OP.

I noticed that there was an Latter-day Saint specific area.

http://www.christianforums.com/f808-latter-day-saints.html

Looks like it's closed right now, though. If we can't get any brethren (and sisters too) to get on the moderation team here, I'm sure we can get some on that one there. No debate intended to be sparked by this, btw.

I also just noticed the amount of posts I had. Wow! And did you know that on the back of a pop tarts box, it has microwave directions? 3 seconds on high. Wow!

So what's new all?

Well I've got a choice to make I can either stay home with my folks, move to Provo Utah with good mormon friend, move 30 miles away to Charlottesville, VA with LDS roomies, or stay in town and move in with a non-member from my work.

Well weigh your options, pray, and see what comes up. Provo is a nice environment. It is at the base of the Rocky Mountain range called the Wasatch. It is a good college town. Population is about 110,000. Night life is non existent, but there is plenty to do before 11pm. I am about 15 miles north of Provo give or take.

Unless you learn latin dancing...then theres a good club downtown provo that is crowded and hot the times I've gone, but fun. I like Provo....admittedly I've lived there mostly as a student, so my view of it is slanted towards college life.

I miss the East Coast something bad, I miss ocean and thick humidity and excessive amounts of green. But I've lived out west for five years, so I think it's my right to miss it a little.

Either way, you'll figure it out. If I had the choice, I'd go with whatever equaled change and and something new. But it just depends on what you think you could use the most right now.

If you do choose UT this is very important: invest in lotion and lip balm...you'll need it like you never did in the east.

With luv,
LL

Id say Utah. But I grew up there so Im biased. I miss the landscape, desserts, forests, mountains and actually experiencing four seasons. Here in TN there are only two season, Summer and Death. But now I get to spend most of the year in IN. And now that Im getting an apt. up there Ill be living there from now on.

Who's looking forward to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows tomorrow? I know I am.

I unfortunately stumbled across someone who claimed to have the book early, and spoiled the ending. All I can say is, I hope he was wrong.
My wife is ready to Harry Potter party. I will wait for her to read the book.

Hi everyone. As some of you know, I was a Mormon for a short time and officially converted to Mormonism. Well, I left but I am now considering coming back again. Just need to get some of my doubts figured out first.

Well,
Let us know how we can assist. You may want to ask some questions through the PM so that they are not subject to scrutiny by everybody and their opinion. Just a thought. Glad to see you posting here. You are adopted as a fellowshipee :)

No problems. There are a lot of us here who are knowledgable and very willing to answer your questions. Zippy has already spoken up about it and I would offer myself for the purpose as well.

I could be WAY off base (I get my news from ytmnd), but I heard... (heard, mind you), that the author of the Harry Potter series is going to include a rape in her latest installment. Is that true?

I heard that too but it was on one of those comedy news shows from cable television so I didn't think much of it but it may very well be true.

Not sure if it was quite right when the show asked the book spokesman if the Nimbus 2000 was involved. :sigh:

Well, I don't like fantasy books in the first place. They're too... uh... too... um... not enough... uh... fantastical?

As for Nimbus 2000... I have no clue what that is, and I'm not so sure I want to know. Is it G-rated? Or is it just some sci-fi sin or something? :D

It's one of the higher-quaulity, flying broomsticks the wizards and witches use. :(
