You could come see me--I'll introduce you to my hubby and kids, 2 cats, a beagle and a bloodhound. The bloodhound may even play hide and seek with you--but you'd have to do the hiding. Then we could show you the race track, the Birth Place of Country Music Museum and the International Storytellers Center.

As for comfort foods...mac & cheese is one of mine. Mashed potatos is another. And beef fried rice is another. I got lots. Must be why I look the way I do.

Mac & cheese is one of my favorites too, along with biscuts and hamburger gravy, fried pork chops and saurkraut and wienies. Oh and a big glass of sweet iced tea. That's definatly why I look like I do!

Potato soup is great. If there isn't any to be had clam chowder with lots of potatos is good.

Well, it's Friday again! Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Anyone into hometown high school football games? My sister is a band director and I was informed last night that I had to go her band's performance tonight at the home game! That's ok, WV University's band is playing at half time, so that will be an extra bonus!

This week end I plan to finish up a two-toned mauve afghan (not colors I would have chosen ). Lucky for me I don't have to like it--it is a pattern I am testing prior to publication. The good part is I get PAID!!! So I can put up with the ugly colors for a couple of more days, then get back to the prettier thread and yarn project on my "do before Christmas" list.


BTW--I have an appointment Friday the 8th about my back/nerve/leg problem. Hoping pain meds is all I really need at the moment.

Ok, I'll tell you the truth, I'm not much of a hot dog fan...until I went to Iceland. They have the best hot dogs. They are made with beef, sheep and pork, they put ketchup, brown mustard, dried fried onions, raw onions and remolade (rich mayonnaise) on them. Oh my!!

/me brings in a load of hot dogs for everyone to try.
