CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Finally found a doc willing to do something about my back/leg problem other than dismissing it as a potassium imbalance. Turns out that sometime 4-6 years ago I ruptured a disc in my back and never knew it, and that is what is putting pressure on the nerve from time to time. So now I am on an anti-inflammatory twice a day and a muscle relaxer 1-3 times a day (as needed) and feel MUCH better!! I actually went for a 2mile+ walk yesterday without so much as a twinge. Yup, I'm a happy camper now!

That's great news Celtie! I am sure it is great to do things you want to do without being in so much pain!

I was in the country today and went to a little bakery run by some Mennonites. I brought back some fresh baked goodies for everyone!

Oh my! I was in sun and rain today, no sleet and snow. But you are at higher elevation then me. You guys always get the bad weather where you are! I hope none of the snow amounted to much, did it?

GCapp and I spent part of the afternoon getting the plastic on our windows. For those who don't know: it's a thin layer of plastic film one puts over windows in the hope of better insulation against cold. Getting the ones over the kitchen sink is a real pain. 
We're halfway done and maybe we can get the rest of them done tomorrow after church and lunch. My favorite part is using the blow dryer on 'em to get those sheets nice and tight.

All this cold weather talk....it was 32 yesterday when I got up. Good thing hubby had the fire going. We don't want to turn on the heater until we really have to, propane is getting toooooo expensive.
