As we talked about before, where the verses are is a human tradition. Where sentences are broken up is a translator's choice. But no big deal, did you want to talk about the thrust of my post? What those other commandments are?

I don't believe I have changed my thinking. I have probably changed or adopted how I talk about what I think in order to hopefully improve communication.

Great example of someone doing the will of God and not keeping the letter of the commandment at the same time.

Rehab was not rewarded for lying. Lying is a sin, this was showing the story as it was recorded. It is not God's will that we lie. Rehab was not a believer at the time and we should not take this story that it is okay to lie and that is God's will. I personally would be careful of that.

Revelations 22:15 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

Compared to who is granted into God's kingdom

Revelations 22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

I appreciate your desire to help. "Remember the Sabbath. Keep it holy." That would also be a valid translation, imo.

Yes, we have talked about the law many times. I don't believe we have gone through the rest of the laws. We've made a stab at it here and there.

It's in those other laws, those other commandments, that the teaching put forward in the OP starts to not work, imo.

One thing that would really help me is if you (or anyone) would list those other commandments. Then maybe I could see that the teaching works consistently. Or we could see that it doesn't.

Maybe we should be questioning whether it's the 3rd or the 4th Commandment while we're engaged in trying to make the word remember seem like "one of the STRONGEST arguments for The Sabbath."

That seems like a topic that anyone who is more concerned about the letter of the law than about its meaning should have tackled by now.

There comes situations in our lives where we need to lie to do the will of God, we need to make a choice do we lie or do the will of God. This is just one example.

God will make a new heaven and earth. New ways to worship.

Which does not say there will be a new way of worship. We are told the Sabbath is a holy convocation Lev 23:3 and we see Jesus as our example in the churches on the Sabbath day reading God's Word Luke 4:16 which continues as promised by God Exodus 31:16 forever Isaiah 66:23

Yes, God wants us to worship Him in truth and spirit. The first day is not a day God blessed, sanctified or made holy. Sunday keeping is not a commandment of God, but Sabbath keeping is. Exodus 20:8-11. Spoken by our Creators own voice and written by His own Finger and stored in the Most Holy of God's Temple. Jesus tells us not to worship in vain by keepings traditions, which Sunday keeping is but Sabbath keeping is God's will for us Exodus 20:8-11. Matthew 15:3-9 Worshipping God on His chosen day over the day chose for God is allowing God to be God and is obeying His authority over mans and worshipping Him in truth and Spirit.

Lets go through this because this is the #1 scripture used to try to do away with a commandment of God written in stone by our Creator and Savior and where God told us to Remember which means we should not forget.

You skipped past a few important scriptures which gives us context.

Col. 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

This gives us a lot of clues. The handwriting of ordinances is not one of the commandments of God. This is a direct reference that can be found in the law of Moses and not one of God's Ten commandments. It says it is contrary to us. God told us His Sabbath day is holy and blessed so that is not contrary.

Did you know there are more than one Sabbath in the bible? There is the weekly Sabbath that is holy and blessed and is the holy day of the Lord thy God. Genesis 2:1-3, Exodus 20:10, Isaiah 58:13 so definitely not contrary and than there is the annual sabbath(s) feast days that was after sin and is an ordinance in the law of Moses and is about food and drink offerings which is in context to this scripture.

In Col 2:17 gives us another clue this is not about the seventh day Sabbath
Col 2: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

The Sabbath is not a shadow and points backwards as a memorial to Creation before sin. "Remember" the Sabbath day Exodus 20:8 to Genesis 2:1-3

We see the Sabbath as a commandment after Christ died Luke 56:23. Jesus referenced it that it would be kept after He goes back to heaven Matthew 24:20 and Jesus tells us all the commandments of God are eternal Matthew 5:19

There are two rests mentioned here, the seventh day Sabbath rest and the gospel rest we receive when we are obedient to the Sabbath commandment.

What did the Israelites disobey?

Ezekiel 20:13 Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes; they despised My judgments, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them’; and they greatly defiled My Sabbath

You do not receive the blessings of God by disobeying Him. The Sabbath is God’s holy day (undisputed) from the very beginning Genesis 2:1-3 and will be forever Isaiah 66:23 as promised by God Exodus 31:16

Isaiah 58:13-14 is another example of conditional blessings of God when we obey His Sabbath commandment.

You should re-read my post again. There are two rests being mentioned here. Hebrews 4 makes it very clear you do not receive the gospel rest by disobeying the Sabbath commandment, which still remains for the people of God.
