It seems that dialogue, sadly, is very limited by your denominational lense.
- Romans 3:20
because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin.
- Romans 3:27
Where then is boasting? It has been excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.
- Romans 3:28
For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.
- Romans 4:2
For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about; but not before God.
- Romans 9:32
Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as though they could by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone,
- Romans 11:6
But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, since otherwise grace is no longer grace.
- Galatians 2:16
nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified.
- Galatians 3:2
This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
- Galatians 3:5
So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
- Galatians 3:10
For all who are of works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all the things written in the book of the Law, to do them.”
Judging others who Love Jesus, who walk in faith, not the works of the law, is a serious position to take and clearly contrary to scripture.
Have a good day.
This is only part of the story. Many misunderstand Paul and did even in his day. Paul is not saying that we are free to break God’s commandments which He states very clearly and for some reason these scriptures never seem to be quoted by Paul.
Romans 2:13 for not the hearers of the law
are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified;
Romans 7:7 What shall we say then?
Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”
Romans 7:14 So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good.
Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith?
Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.
1 Cor 7:19 Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing,
but keeping the commandments of God is what matters.
You cannot walk in the Spirit by breaking the commandments of God. Paul is not telling us we are free to break God’s commandments and Paul does not teach a different gospel in one verse from another, nor does he teach a different gospel than Jesus or the other disciples who all teach us we should keep God’s commandments. It is how we express love to God.
Faith and obedience are not at odds with each other, they go hand-in hand. Faith establishes the law according to Paul Romans 3:31
Revelations 14: 12 Here is the patience of the saints; here
are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
We do not keep the law to be saved, we keep it because it is how we express love to God. We are saved by God’s grace though our faith and obedience is a fruit of true faith
I was not judging you and me saying I don’t understand why anyone would not want to keep God’s commandments is not judging. It’s my honest opinion, I truly don’t get it. God’s commandments are not burdensome 1 John 5:3 and Jesus asks for so little and even gives us the Holy Spirit to help us obey John 14:15-18. Jesus is our righteous judge and we will all stand before Him 2 Corinthians 5:10. What if Jesus meant what He said John 14:15 If you love Me, keep My commandments? It is also one of the very last scripture so it seems important. Revelations 22:14 God bless
