You did recall correctly and I did wrongly.

He killed himself as a Christian that is murder. I guess he knew it was wrong yet he sinned in this fashion anyway. I would question if he did go to heaven or hell. That's why I wanted to create some conversion about him.

It's 12:00 am here, so my recollection and brain is a bit faulty. I know, I shouldn't be posting under the influence of sleepiness :D

My straight out answer is no. I'll explain properly in the morning.

I'm always happy to answer questions, even if I don't understand why they're directed towards me, for I'm not the one making a claim that I don't care about a canon, but at the same time never quoting from particular texts.

However last year I referred to Maccabees as authentic a source of history, here

I've also corrected people on Sirach, such as here and here in relation to views on women.

Here I used Tobit, Wisdom and others to show that they parallel the New Testament

Did you have a point? Are you going to challenge RickOtto to the same? He's the one claiming he doesn't care about the canon. If he doesn't, then he should care about citing from those texts.... if they're 'truth' (and that is, after-all the important point)

Please accept my delay in responding to your post. I have been quite swamped.

My point, if any, was that the use of deutercanonical books on CF, is rare, at best, other than as a point of contention concerning their canonicity. I am pleased that you an exception to the general rule which is that most defenders of these books are generally unfamiliar with them,

Okay. I had raised a point with someone who doesn't accept the deuteronomical books but claims he's just 'examining them'. I know he doesn't accept them having always attacked the Orthodox and Catholic canons, never done the same regarding Protestant canons.

Hmm once saved always saved .. hmm

well .. the premise is wrong .. salvation in this sentence is spoken of as a one time event .. when it is supposed to be a entirely new life . Jesus keeps from like dying and such .. spiritually .. but no not once saved always saved .. it is a life . not a get out of jail free card .

That's exactly what it is. He paid so you won't have to.
A person who isn't saved is perishing. Preaching (the gospel) is foolishness to those who are perishing - not to those who are saved.
It may be hard to believe we are saved simply because we are not worthy. We never can be. Good works only get you rewards in heven, only mercy gets you in.

It's a get out of gaol free card because once you're saved, you can do whatever you want

Because once your saved, whatever you want is to do whatever God wants you to, whatever.
It's free because none of us could afford it although many chirches will try & bill you for it anyway.

So for free you become enslaved?

What's you've said is...
For free, you become enslaved And that the churches try to bill you.
You disagree with my summary; saying you really mean that we become enslaved for free And that the churches try to bill you

it doesn't cost the church anything to bill you.
It doesn't cost you anything to be saved.

I got this the first and second times: We freely become enslaved.

This was in fact an objection to my post about a 'get out of gaol ticket' response.

I noted that once you're saved you can do whatever you want.

Now I'm being told you can't do whatever you want (you're enslaved), but it costs nothing.
